In the vast, barren wilderness of Ladakh, the world feels smaller, the mountains feel greater and nothing else seems to matter.

Camped at the advance camp beneath the mighty Mentok Kangri range, in the high-altitude wilderness of Ladakh.
Mentok Kangri is one of the prominent trekking peaks of the Ladakh region, rising to around 6,200 metres above sea level. At these elevations, the landscape changes completely, thin air, barren ridgelines, glacial valleys and vast open skies create an environment where every step demands patience and preparation.
An advance camp is more than just a place to spend the night. It becomes the starting point for the real challenge ahead, a place to rest, acclimatise, organise gear and prepare both body and mind for the climb.
Cold nights, simple food, tired legs and the mountains standing silently above the tent.
This is what life in the high Himalayas feels like raw, quiet and unforgettable.

Jogi Badshah a flower of the high Himalayas
Locally known in Kashmir as Jogi Badshah / Jogi Padsha, this beautiful alpine plant is found in the high altitude regions of the Himalayas, where the landscape becomes colder, wilder and much harder to survive in.
It is associated with the Saussurea group of Himalayan plants and has a long history of traditional use in Himalayan medicine. Different species are known by similar local names, so its exact botanical identity depends on the location and plant characteristics.
What makes it special is not just its beauty, but where it grows, in some of the most remote and extreme parts of the mountains.
If you find Jogi Badshah on a trek, don’t pick it. Take a photograph, leave the flower where it belongs and let the next traveller experience the same sight.
Some things are meant to be witnessed, not taken.

A V-thread anchor — built into the ice itself.
No bolts, no rock, no fixed anchor.
Just two precise holes through the ice, connected by a rope, creating an anchor strong enough to hold a climber. In ice climbing sometimes the mountain itself becomes your anchor.

Tarsar Lake, one of Kashmir’s most iconic alpine treasures. Sitting at around 3,795 metres (12,450 ft) above sea level, Tarsar is a stunning high altitude alpine lake in the Pahalgam region of Kashmir, surrounded by dramatic mountains, vast meadows and raw Himalayan wilderness. The lake is part of the famous Tarsar, Marsar, sundarsar trek, where every turn feels like a different postcard of Kashmir.
The trail takes you through beautiful meadows, pine forests, mountain passes and remote landscapes, a journey where the destination is beautiful but the trail itself becomes the real story.
At the moment, hiking/trekking activities in Kashmir are restricted. But once the trails officially open again you can stay connected with us for regular updates, upcoming hikes and trekking plans.
