A printing company gave the biggest lesson on why solving a niche problem can lead to entry into the biggest market!
A printing company in Brooklyn was struggling with humidity.
The moist air was causing their paper to expand and shrink, which resulted in misaligned ink and poor print quality.
So they decided to hire a company that could design "dry air" for them.
This company was finally able to design a solution that helped control humidity for the printing process.
This company was none other than Carrier, which accidentally created the first modern air conditioner.
The same technology that cools our homes and offices today.
Focusing on and solving a niche problem is not just about catering to a smaller market or a smaller pie
It is an opportunity that can lead to something bigger...
It can be an opportunity to meet
new people..
new ideas ..
new connections..

Onboarded a fashion store last month, and this is what the store shared with me. That upside in revenue is an extra add-on apart from reduced support tickets
And that's not even 30 days complete
While a lot of order editing is about handling address updates & correction but, when stores activate adding products/variants.
It increases ur AOV
With Vista Order Editing, we are not only trying to reduce support tickets but also generate more revenue

Imagine you are at a peak-season sale... your bundle offers are selling like hot cakes, but then you notice an inventory mess at the backend. why?
You oversell..
Your bundle app has not been tracking inventory properly.
I think the most important question you need to ask before installing a bundle app is:
What happens to my inventory after someone buys that bundle?
This is where many merchants run into problems.
If a bundle app creates its own inventory for the bundle, it now has to keep that inventory synchronized with the actual products.
That means handling things like:
- Variant-level inventory deductions
- Inventory changes from other sales channels
- Order edits and refunds
- Restocks and cancellations
- Background inventory syncs
- Every sync introduces another opportunity for inventory to drift.
With Vista Bundles, we're addressing bundling issues that arise when it's too late.
And real-time inventory syncing of variants is one of them.
If you are a brand looking to solve your bundling issues.
We are all ears and open to solving your problems.
Try Vista Bundles; we are actively listening to merchants' problems
Imagine getting hit with a lawsuit… for using Shopify’s "free" Dawn theme. 🤯
That’s exactly what happened between and .
Shopline allegedly copied the Dawn theme wholesale for its own software. It has now ended in a settlement, a blocked distribution, and a payout.
The irony? Dawn is supposed to be the basic, open-source "starter" theme.
Honestly, Dawn isn't just a starter template. It’s an absolute masterpiece of lightweight engineering, speed, and clean code.
It’s so good that a major competitor literally risked a federal lawsuit just to copy it.
Its foundation is that good; we mostly use it as a starting point for theme customization for many new stores.
While many founders feel it is too basic and simple but when they see the final product. It blows their mind

WhatsApp Business is rolling out its Free Meta Business AI Agent, and it is way different from your regular chatbots!
Meta is rolling out a free AI Agent inside WhatsApp Business that can:
✅ Answer customer questions instantly
✅ Qualify leads automatically
✅ Share product catalogs
✅ Handle appointment bookings
✅ Guide customers through the buying journey
✅ Escalate to a human when needed
This is what usually happens with brands today:
A customer clicks your ad at 11 PM.
- Nobody responds until the next morning.
- The lead goes cold.
This is where AI agent changes things
It engages prospects immediately,
collecting information,
answering common questions,
and
keeping the conversation moving while your team sleeps.
It learns from your business information, products, FAQs, policies, website content, and customer conversations, making interactions far more relevant than traditional chatbot flows.
Yes its free, but more importantly its response speed and engagement with customers.
Studies have shown that lead conversion rates drop dramatically as response times increase.
As I write this, it is being rolled out.
Do you think it can replace your existing chat agent?

I was slouching in bed late last night, mindlessly scrolling Instagram, when an ad from Wellbi stopped my thumb.
An olive green, organic bamboo t-shirt. Price: ₹599.
I am an existing customer who bought their t-shirts at a higher price in the past.
The offer was attractive. Therefore, I clicked.
The product page loaded with the olive green variant.
And then my eye got stuck on the price.
Not ₹599. Not even ₹799. It was ₹999.
My inner ecommerce guy kicked in :D
So I started clicking through other colors. ₹999. ₹999. ₹999. ₹899. ₹999. ₹799. ₹999. ₹599.
At that point, I wasn’t evaluating fabric quality anymore.
I was investigating only pricing and what the ad promised me.
Pause. Question. Leave.
From a and perspective, this is a "fire alarm" for your margins.
When you break the expectation that earned the click,
You aren't just losing a sale;
You are paying Meta for the privilege of destroying a customer's trust.
The result?
Higher bounce rates.
Abandoned carts.
Higher Customer Acquisition Costs (CAC).
Weak signals sent back to the Meta algorithm.
Most founders look for ad performance problems in the Ads Manager.
Sometimes, the problem is simply a landing page that doesn't keep the promise of the ad.
The ads you see on Instagram are mini case studies, which can help you improve your .
I am sure you might have noticed such things on other brands as well.
Would love to check out those as well
Bundles or Upsells? Your customers don’t actually want more choices.
They want fewer decisions.
When brands struggle to raise their Average Order Value (AOV), it’s usually because they confuse Curation with Convenience.
Bundles and Upsells aren't just different tech features—they serve two completely different customer mindsets:
🛍️ 1. Bundling = Curation
- This is for the buyer who is overwhelmed.
- They know their problem, but they don't know the solution. They are looking for a complete package handed to them.
The Offer: "The Ultimate Morning Routine Kit" (Cleanser + Toner + Moisturizer).
Why it works: It removes the mental friction of matching products. You are selling them an outcome, not a list of items.
⚡ 2. Upselling = Convenience
- This is for the hyper-focused buyer.
- They already know exactly what they want.
- They don’t want to look at a collection page; they just want a seamless upgrade to what's already in their hand.
The Offer: "Upgrade to the 1L bottle for 15% off"
Why it works: It enhances their primary purchase without fracturing their buying momentum.
The Golden Rule:
-> Use bundles to help customers discover a solution.
-> Use upsells to help customers upgrade their decision.
If you try to force a messy bundle onto a fast, convenient buyer, you kill the checkout momentum.
If you only offer minor upsells to a confused buyer, they leave without buying anything.
How do you track what increases AOV for your brand?
This is the most profitable square inch of real estate, yet most brands underutilize it.
The space between order confirmation and the thank-you page has the highest conversion.
Put yourself into the buyer's shoes.
The buyer's mindset before buying is a mix of high friction, decision fatigue, and budget anxiety.
Whereas after buying, there is a dopamine hit or feel good factor, a trust already established, credit card already out.
There is a zero Cognitive Load.
The hard decision is already made; an add-on at this stage feels low-risk.
This is the time to give him the best offer.
How?
Keep it relevant - e.g., sell a phone case to someone who just bought a phone, not a blender or another phone.
Offer an exclusive, immediate discount.
Stop exhausting customers before they buy.
Capitalize on the momentum after they say yes.
How are you utilizing this space? Have you seen any upsides?

This can be your Shopify store, but it won't
Some stores are silently optimizing for LLMs and occupying the marketing space that is still not leveraged.
Someone shared this data, and it reminded me of my old post
Last week, I shared the exact strategy with examples on how to do it
Like most people, you will read and then just forget about it.
If not, go and check that post again and see how simple it is

Common myth: “Use bundles to increase AOV.” Wrong!!
Bundles increase displayed AOV. But they can quietly reduce repeat purchases & hurt long-term profit.
Here’s why:
• Bundles shift the customer mindset from “relationship” to “transaction”
Instead of:
“I love this brand”
The customer thinks:
“Wow, I got a deal.”
Next time?
They’ll look for another deal.
On your store or somewhere else.
• Bundles often attract the wrong customer cohort
Ask yourself:
Are you attracting:
* value maximizers
* deal hunters
* low brand-affinity customers
High AOV doesn’t always mean high-quality customers.
• The biggest mistake:
Bundles reduce post-purchase discovery journeys
Smart brands think in progression:
first purchase → second complementary product → upgraded variant → premium SKU → subscription
That journey builds retention.
Brand runs behind superficial goals like high AOV
But business is built on retention.
Many bundles collapse the entire journey into a single discounted order.
Successful brands bridge the gap.
They don’t make users think.
Instead of:
“Buy more stuff”
They position bundles as:
* “Starter Kit”
* “Best Seller Routine”
* “Complete System”
A guided buying experience that offers value and solves pain points.
Not every bundle should exist to push discounts.
That’s also the philosophy behind Vista Bundles.
- Some bundles should simplify decisions.
- Some should improve retention.
- Some should increase quantity on already validated products.
That’s why Vista Bundles supports both:
Fixed bundles
Quantity breaks (Buy 2, Buy 3, etc.)
Because different bundle strategies solve different business problems.
