Convergence

What does it mean to witness since last eighteen days a stalwart and a respected scientist going on a hunger strike just to be heard by our own government ? It pains me to see his deteriorating condition day after day … Isn’t democracy for the people , of the people , by the people ? And yet people’s voices are ignored by the govt and by the main stream media !!
Why is our government turning a blind eye and a deaf ear to all these massive protests going on since more than a month now ? Is religion the only agenda when the Indian govt chooses to speak ? What about the most important thing , education and the future of millions of children ?? What about our Sonam Wanchuk Sir who has been struggling and is on a hunger strike since 18 days just to be heard ? What about those innocent children who committed su***de due to paper leak ?? What about so many paper leaks and the deteriorating standards of our education ? What about the shamelessness of our education minister who should have resigned and taken accountability ?? What about !!

I am the Earth.
And the Earth is me.
Each blade of grass,
Each honey tree,
Each bit of mud,
And stick and stones
blood and muscle,
Skin and bone.

As Earth is my body.
Air my breath.
Fire my will.
Water my blood
And just as I need every bit of me
to make my body fit,
So the Earth needs grass and stone
and trees
things that grow here naturally .
So we preserve and protect our trees
And rêver them ,not destroy and uproot them in the name of development..
coz if there is no earth
There is no me
There is no you even ..
And development ?
Who will enjoy that when no one remains ..

That’s why I say
As long as life,As dear, as free,
I am the Earth.
And the Earth is me.
As you are the Earth
And the earth is you ..
