Management education is not only about knowing the right answer. It is also about being able to read, understand, articulate, and communicate it effectively.

At IMDR, our Language Lab is helping students strengthen their reading, pronunciation, fluency, and conversational skills through structured English language training.

What makes this initiative particularly meaningful for us is that the technology has been indigenously developed to support our students' learning needs. The tool provides individual feedback to students, helping them understand where they need to improve, while also giving faculty mentors insights into each student's progress for more focused mentoring.

This creates a continuous learning loop:

Practice → Feedback → Mentoring → Improvement

For future managers, communication is more than a language skill. It is the ability to think clearly, listen carefully, express ideas confidently, and connect with people.

At IMDR, technology complements teaching to make learning more personal, measurable, and meaningful.

Digital transformation is not just about technology—it is about rethinking how businesses create value.

IMDR, Pune, hosted a guest lecture on “Digital Transformation and Business Strategy” for its PGDM students, featuring Mr. Parag Pandit, Service Commercialization Lead, Vivicta as the Guest Speaker.

The session explored Digitization, Digitalization and Digital Transformation, the link between business and digital strategy, Generative AI, and emerging technologies.

Through a hands-on group activity, students applied these concepts to analyse business risks, competitors, digital strategies and opportunities—reinforcing the importance of curiosity, adaptability and data-informed decision-making.

An insightful session encouraging our future managers to think beyond technology and think transformation.

Today, IMDR hosted its Internal Smart India Hackathon 2026, where 14 student teams presented innovative solutions addressing challenges across rural finance, agriculture, healthcare, education, sustainability, accessibility, and AI-driven business transformation.

The hackathon encouraged students to think critically, collaborate, and develop solutions with real-world relevance.

Adding valuable industry perspective, Mr. Vinod Patkotwar , Founder, Crown Rubber Products, served as the Hackathon Judge and also led an insightful session on “Innovation Begins with a Different Mindset.” His practical insights highlighted the power of resourcefulness, continuous improvement, sustainability, and identifying opportunities to create meaningful value.

IMDR's CSR Committee organised a Thalassemia Awareness Camp with Dr. Neeta Munshi, Senior Pathologist and President, Thalassemia Society, Pune, as the Chief Guest and principal speaker.

The session highlighted the importance of understanding thalassemia, carrier screening, genetic counselling and voluntary blood donation—emphasising how informed choices and collective action can make a meaningful difference.

Thalassemia screening was also conducted for IMDR’s students, faculty and staff, taking the initiative a step beyond awareness and towards early detection and informed action.
