Neha Muthiyan, founder-director of Kathak Pathshala is a renowned Kathak artist from Pune. Neha Muthiyan has performed in noted dance festivals in Pune, Aurangabad, Rajasthan, Gujarat Solapur, Cochin, Kualalumpur Malaysia. She has conducted workshops under SPICMACAY in Gujarat. With a natural flair for teaching Neha has groomed her students to be empathetic, patient, and follow this path with sincerity. Under her able guidance, Kathak Pathshala has grown steadily with 3 successfully running branches at Navi peth,Erandwane and Pimple Saudagar

On the ocassion of Guru Pournima, my students,Rucha Harkare, Tanvi Deodhar and Rucha Chitale got a wonderful opportunity to perform at Bal Kalyan Sanstha.
Organized by Kalasakta and Bal Kalyan, the event was attended by over 70 students from various schools.
Bal Kalyan Sanstha is renowned organisation who works for specially abled children enabling them to be insync with the world.
Kalasakta is an organisation founded by Bharatnatyam artists and it works for propagation of different art forms.

Abhanga by Sant Chokhamela
It depicts the caste system prevalent at that time and how the lower caste were not allowed to enter the mandir. 'Natha' ghari subtly means the wealthy who controlled the administration of the mandir, where my 'sakha', friend, Lord Panduranga is dancing!
But that didn't stop them from expressing their love for Panduranga.Be it the steps or the desert, their love for Him is unbroken.

A sarcastic abhanga by Sant Tukaram telling people not to go to Pandharpur as there is a ghost there who will capture and completely transform you!
Hidden is the beautiful meaning...
Once you see the ghost (get darshan of Lord Pandurang) you will forget yourself, all your ego and achievements will mean nothing as you forget who you are and transform to a whole new person!

I am an absolute fan of giving 'surprises'..a surprise birthday party, a surprise gift, a surprise visit..I am always onboard!
I like the whole dea of giving surprises as it makes you really think of that particular person with more love, more intuition, more depth, more affection, more care!
So when on a random day you get a msg from your Aunt (Ashwini Hardikar ) saying to meet at a specific place as there was surprise in store..a rollercoaster of thoughts start in my mind!
After a perfect built up of 'amcha ek kaam ahe ekankade so adhi tikde jau' , we meet a dear friend of my uncle(Pradeep Hardikar) , Mr.Prabhu Bendre
Totally clueless and still believing in the builtup..I am still curious about the surprise!
And then Bendre Kaka starts saying and asks me to open a painting saying that it was of one of my favorite persons!
And then..SURPRISE!...I saw the most affectionately made portrait of mine! I went speechless..
He then explained the intricacies and how he thought of making it and I just felt so lucky and grateful to have people around me who love me and think of me so much!
Thank you Bendre Kaka for this wonderful surprise and Kaka Kaku for creating the perfect moment❤️
