Robotic process automation (RPA) as any capability (software and services) that allows you to transact in any IT application or website, typically in the same way a human would operate, to automate complex, rule-based work. In other words, RPA software allows developers to tailor complex automations to processes which would enable the organizations for better business results. When an RPA robot is at work, it performs tasks just like a human would: logging in, operating applications, entering data, performing complex calculations and logging out. Robotic Process Automation is used by large organizations to cut down time and effort (and thereby reducing cost) while improving quality of delivery. Therefore, people who are suitable for RPA are the people who can look at the Business Process in detail with a critical eye and visualize what can be done better. It helps to know the tools and their capabilities. RPA needs a lot of detailing to understand the process operations that are performed subconsciously by a human being. Attention to detail and questioning techniques come into picture here to extract lot of information from the current user to be able to define the operation correctly and completely. There is a great potential with RPA and it will grow at the 35 % CAGR by 2020. The way top-tier companies such as Google and Aviva embrace change. This implies 75% of the business processes will be automated in the near future and many developers would probably transition to automation developers to keep up with the evolving technology.
