India may be taxing people for losing their jobs.
Read that again.
A person works for years.
Pays income tax.
Contributes to the economy.
Then the company restructures.
The job disappears.
And the money meant to help that person survive the transition can still be treated like ordinary income.
Where is the safety net?
This is where the conversation gets uncomfortable.
We keep telling employees to build resilience.
But neuroscience tells us something important.
When financial security suddenly disappears, the brain does not experience it as a simple accounting problem.
It can trigger a threat response.
Uncertainty increases vigilance.
Cognitive bandwidth gets consumed by survival questions.
How will I pay the EMI?
What about my children's education?
What if I don't get another job for six months?
Now imagine asking that brain to
“stay positive.”
“think strategically.”
“upskill.”
“start again.”
The problem isn't always a lack of resilience.
Sometimes the environment has removed the psychological runway required to recover.
And here is the controversial part.
Severance isn't just compensation.
For many families, it is the bridge between employment and unemployment.
It buys time.
Time to think.
Time to search.
Time to protect the family.
Time to make rational decisions instead of desperate ones.
So perhaps we are asking the wrong question.
Instead of asking:
“Should severance be taxed?”
Maybe we should ask:
“Should survival money be treated exactly like earned income?”
Because when someone loses their job, they don't just lose a salary.
They can lose predictability.
Identity.
Status.
Routine.
And sometimes even their sense of control.
The neuroscience of financial stress tells us that economic policy isn't only about numbers.
It can become a mental health issue.
🔥 My question to CEOs, policymakers and employees:
If India expects workers to pay taxes during their years of employment,
shouldn't the system give them a stronger bridge when employment suddenly disappears?
Agree or disagree.
But don't scroll past this one.
What would you change?

🧠 Try this simple finger exercise when your mind feels overwhelmed.
1️⃣ Touch your thumb to each finger slowly
Index → Middle → Ring → Pinky
2️⃣ Close your eyes and repeat 2–3 times.
3️⃣ Now try again…
Skip your middle finger and continue.
Notice what happens.
Your brain suddenly has a simple task to solve.
This kind of deliberate finger movement can give your attention something concrete to focus on, engaging attention and motor-control networks while taking you away from repetitive thought loops.
💓 It may help you feel more grounded
🧠 Gives your attention a simple target
⚡ Can interrupt the cycle of racing thoughts
🌱 Can support relaxation when combined with slow breathing
Because sometimes anxiety isn't only about what you're thinking.
Your nervous system can also become highly activated.
And when the body feels unsafe, the mind often follows.
Small grounding practices like this can become useful tools for bringing your attention back to the present moment.
Not a magic cure.
Not a replacement for professional help when you need it.
Just a simple technique you can try when your mind needs a reset.

What if your biggest productivity problem isn't your workload?
What if it's the way your brain is recovering every night?
Most professionals believe sleep is about rest.
Neuroscience tells a different story.
While you're asleep, your brain is far from inactive.
It clears metabolic waste through the glymphatic system.
It strengthens neural connections that matter and weakens the ones that don't.
It consolidates memories.
It regulates emotional circuits between the amygdala and prefrontal cortex.
It restores the energy your brain needs to make better decisions tomorrow.
Now ask yourself this.
If you wake up tired after 7 to 8 hours of sleep, is the issue the number of hours you slept?
Or is your nervous system staying in survival mode even while you're asleep?
This is why many high performers don't struggle with time.
They struggle with recovery.
And without recovery, your brain cannot perform at its highest level.
Sleep is not time lost.
It is where your brain upgrades itself.
What's one habit you've changed that has improved your sleep quality the most? Share it below. Your insight might help someone else sleep better tonight.

One of the fastest ways to slow down brain aging is to stop living on autopilot.
Most people think experience is enough.
Your brain disagrees.
The moment every day starts looking the same, your brain becomes more efficient.
But efficiency is not the same as growth.
This is where neuroscience becomes fascinating.
Your brain changes through neuroplasticity.
Every time you challenge yourself with something unfamiliar, your brain strengthens neural pathways, increases cognitive flexibility, and stimulates the release of Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF), a protein that supports learning, memory, and long term brain health.
The goal is not to stay busy.
The goal is to give your brain a reason to adapt.
Here are a few simple ways to make that happen:
🧠 Learn a new skill that feels uncomfortable because challenge builds stronger neural networks.
📚 Read books outside your usual interests because novelty activates deeper learning circuits.
💪 Strength train consistently because movement increases BDNF and supports better cognitive performance.
🎵 Listen to or learn music because rhythm improves attention, memory, and emotional regulation.
🤝 Have meaningful conversations with people who think differently because diverse perspectives expand cognitive flexibility.
🧘 Practice meditation because it strengthens attention, emotional control, and reduces stress related brain overload.
Your brain doesn't stay sharp because of your age.
It stays sharp because of the challenges you choose.
What is one new skill or habit you're learning this month that is forcing your brain to grow?

Low energy levels 🪫 ?
For 4 years, she believed headaches would always control her life.
Every morning started with the same question.
"Will today be another migraine day?"
Painkillers became routine.
Plans were cancelled.
Work suffered.
Even happy moments came with the fear of the next attack.
Then we stopped chasing the symptom.
Instead, we worked on the mind.
Through personalized 1 to 1 mind programming coaching, we identified emotional patterns, stress responses, and unconscious triggers that kept her nervous system stuck in survival mode.
Week by week, her brain learned a different response.
Today, her headaches have reduced by 95%.
She has stopped relying on migraine medication and has reclaimed the freedom she thought she had lost.
Sometimes the biggest breakthrough begins when you stop asking, "How do I fight the pain?" and start asking, "Why is my brain protecting me this way?"
If migraines are stealing your energy, your peace, or your life, send me "RESET" in DM and let's explore whether your mind is holding the missing piece.

Your next level does not need more habits.
It needs a different brain.
Most high performers believe the answer is another morning routine.
Another productivity app.
Another book.
But neuroscience tells a different story.
Your brain runs on prediction, not intention.
The basal ganglia keeps repeating familiar patterns because they feel safe.
Your prefrontal cortex can set ambitious goals all day.
If your emotional wiring still expects stress, self doubt, or scarcity, your brain quietly pulls you back to what feels familiar.
That is why disciplined people still procrastinate.
That is why successful people still feel stuck.
You do not rise to your ambitions.
You return to your neural defaults.
The breakthrough happens when you stop collecting better habits and start rewiring the patterns that created your current reality.
The quality of your future is limited by the quality of your neural wiring.
Question for you.
What is one habit you keep trying to change that might actually be a brain pattern waiting to be rewired?

Your brain is not asking you to work harder.
It is asking you to stop surviving.
Most high performers never notice the shift.
Because burnout rarely begins with exhaustion.
It begins when your nervous system mistakes constant pressure for normal.
You still hit your targets.
You still lead the meetings.
You still smile when people ask how you are.
From the outside nothing has changed.
Inside your brain has quietly adapted.
The stress response has become your default operating system.
The amygdala stays alert.
The prefrontal cortex spends more time managing urgency than creating clarity.
Dopamine comes only from the next achievement.
The finish line keeps moving.
Then something unexpected happens.
You finally get the promotion.
You close the deal.
You reach the milestone you chased for years.
And the feeling lasts only a moment.
Not because you are ungrateful.
Because your brain has learned to survive success instead of experience it.
This is what neuroscience calls adaptation.
The brain becomes efficient at repeating familiar patterns even when those patterns no longer serve you.
That is why your next level is rarely built by doing more.
It is built by rewiring what your brain believes is safe.
The leaders who create lasting impact do something different.
They regulate before they react.
They recover before they push.
They choose awareness over autopilot.
The greatest competitive advantage is not a higher IQ.
It is a nervous system that knows how to switch from survival into growth.
What if your biggest breakthrough is not another strategy but a different state of mind?
Share this with one leader who believes success should not cost their peace.
