Since far from the century, environmentalists are shouting for plantation on the terraces in urban area but in long run even negligible fraction of society (including initiators of this idea) not got green terraces. The reason is ‘higher weight’ of soil apart from its availability. Water supply maintenance is also a constraint. We have developed alternative soil which is many times lighter than natural soil due to larger paper fiber content and highly water efficient due to addition of dendrimers & nanomaterials. Now the patented technology is under commercialization under trade name 'Sustain soil' Sustain soil has following characteristics:

2. Does not need pot for plantation
3. Lower weight as it contains 95% paper. Hence suitable for terrace & vertical garden
4. Available in different colours & can be designed in various patterns
5. High water holding capacity due to plenty of pores
6. 95 % paper hence eco friendly and environmentally feasible.
7. Well functioned as soil. Texture and physical properties are similar to normal soil.
