The journey of DPS Ranchi began on 1st July 1989 in SAIL Township Ranchi. Pioneering innovations has been the key mantra at DPS, Ranchi. A school with a heart and mind that has raced ahead of all other schools in the immediate vicinity and near by areas. Since its inception in 1989 the school has combined a high standard of academic excellence complemented by a kaleidoscope of co-curricular activities. The strength of this school has grown considerably over the years and today we are on the verge of crossing the 5000 mark. It has been providing quality education to the people of Jharkhand and Bihar and specially the residents of Ranchi. The school provides education from class Prep to XII and Board Examinations are held as per CBSE norms. The First XII batch passed in the year 1993. The students of the school have brought glory to the school, achieving “Balshree Award”, “National Child Award” and “President Awards” in Art and Painting in 2010, 2011 and 2012 respectively. Moreover the school received many notable achievements at National and International Level in various Extra curricular and Sports & Games etc.

• The school has achieved remarkable result in AISSCE & CBSE-2016. 340 students secured 90% and above in AISSCE-2016 and 145 students secured 10 CGPA in CBSE-2016.

• More than 200 students qualified JEE-MAINS. Over 65 students qualified JEE-ADVANCED. Some students also qualified in AIIMS, BITSAT,etc.

A Moment of Immense Pride for DPS Ranchi
DPS Ranchi Congratulates Proud Parent Shri Manoj Prasad on His Elevation as Judge of the Jharkhand High Court
Delhi Public School, Ranchi takes immense pride and pleasure in congratulating Shri Manoj Prasad, a valued parent of the school, on his elevation as a Judge of the Jharkhand High Court.
Shri Manoj Prasad, who was serving as the Principal District & Sessions Judge, Garhwa, has been elevated to the High Court along with Shri Akhil Kumar and Shri Ram Sharma. The appointments were notified by the Government of India following the recommendations of the Supreme Court Collegium.
A distinguished member of the judicial fraternity, Shri Manoj Prasad joined the Jharkhand Superior Judicial Service on 4 May 2012 as Additional Judicial Commissioner, Ranchi. Over the years, he has served with distinction in various judicial capacities, carrying out significant judicial and administrative responsibilities. Prior to his elevation, he was serving as the Principal District & Sessions Judge, Garhwa.
Born in Deoghar on 16 November 1973, Shri Manoj Prasad completed his schooling at St. Francis School, Deoghar. He pursued his graduation in Political Science from Patna College, Patna University, followed by an LL.B. from the Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi, in 1998. He enrolled as an advocate in 1999 and practised primarily on the civil side at the District Court, Deoghar, as well as the Jharkhand High Court, Ranchi. His subsequent journey in judicial service has been marked by dedication, perseverance and a steadfast commitment to the administration of justice.
His elevation to the Jharkhand High Court marks a significant milestone in his distinguished professional journey and is a matter of immense pride for the entire DPS Ranchi fraternity. For the school, it is especially gratifying to celebrate this remarkable achievement of a valued member of its extended family.

DPS Ranchi Student Anushka Toppo Bags First Prize in Painting Competition
It is a moment of immense pride for Delhi Public School, Ranchi, as talented young artist Anushka Toppo brought laurels to the school by securing the First Prize in a prestigious Painting Competition organised under Sewa Parv 2025 on the theme “Viksit Bharat @ 2047.” The painting competition was organised by the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), Regional Centre, Ranchi, a body under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The certificate of participation and achievement recognises Anushka’s contribution to this significant national initiative.
Adding to the pride and honour, Anushka was adjudged the First Prize winner and was awarded a cash prize of ₹10,000/- for her outstanding artistic expression and interpretation of the theme. Her achievement is a testament to her creativity, imagination and artistic talent, and reflects the encouragement extended by the school towards nurturing the diverse talents of its students.
The ceremony was graced by Shri. Sanjay Seth, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Defence, Government of India. The event provided young artists with an inspiring platform to express their vision of India’s future through the medium of art.

Delhi Public School, Ranchi, observed Vishwakarma Puja on 17 September 2026 with devotion, spiritual fervour and a deep sense of gratitude. The sacred occasion was celebrated within the school premises, bringing together the school community in reverence to Lord Vishwakarma, the divine architect and symbol of creativity, craftsmanship and progress.
The celebration commenced with a sacred Havan, performed by the Honourable Principal, Dr. Jaya Chauhan, along with members of the school staff. The rituals were conducted with prayers for progress, prosperity, harmony and continued success of the institution and everyone associated with it. A special Vishwakarma Puja of the school vehicles and buses was also performed by Dr. Chauhan. The ceremony sought blessings for the safety and well-being of the students, teachers and staff who depend on these vehicles every day. The observance beautifully highlighted the importance of respecting the tools, machines and resources that support our everyday endeavours.
Beyond the rituals, the celebration offered a meaningful lesson in gratitude, dignity of labour and respect for craftsmanship. It reminded students that every tool and every effort, however humble, contributes to the journey of learning, growth and achievement.
