IIM Ranchi invites scholars, researchers, industry professionals, policymakers, and doctoral students to participate in the International Conference on Indian Business (ICIB) 2027.

IIM Ranchi had the opportunity to host Mr. Krishna Kumar Kezhakkevetil, Senior Vice President D&T, Aramex, and Ms. Devi Krishna, D&T Senior Analyst, Aramex, as part of the Colloquium: Leadership Talk Series, for an insightful session exploring how technology has transformed operations and using AI as a thinking partner.

​Mr. Kezhakkevetil explained the ten paradoxes that leadership faces with respect to AI, technology, strategy, and leadership, guiding students on navigating complex business traps and career evolution. Ms. Krishna shared practical frameworks on career portability, contrasting domain-specific knowledge with transferable analytical skills while outlining the journey of value creation from understanding to orchestration.

​The session offered students valuable perspectives on mastering adaptability, strategic thinking, and continuous learning to successfully navigate the future digital landscape.

IIM Ranchi, in collaboration with the National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSIC) and National SC-ST Hub, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India, successfully conducted a 6-day Business Accelerator Programme from September 13-18, 2026.

Bringing together SC-ST entrepreneurs from across Jharkhand and different parts of India, the programme featured diverse ventures spanning manufacturing, services, food processing, textiles, handicrafts, engineering solutions, and digital enterprises.

The programme focused on building market-ready and competitive enterprises by strengthening capabilities in understanding markets and customers, developing competitive products and services, managing finances, and leveraging government procurement opportunities.

Through this initiative, IIM Ranchi continues to contribute to an inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem, empowering SC-ST entrepreneurs to build businesses that are profitable, sustainable, and impactful.

IIM Ranchi was delighted to host Mr. Surobheet Bhowmik, Group Head - HR, Capitalmind, as part of the Colloquium: Leadership Talk Series, for an insightful session on “From Data to Decisions: Why Good Analysis Still Needs Good Judgment.”

The session explored the importance of evidence-based decision-making, while highlighting that quality of decisions depends not merely on the amount of data available, but on the judgment used to interpret it.

The session offered students valuable perspectives on combining analytical thinking with sound judgment, while emphasising the importance of simplicity, critical thinking, and thoughtful decision-making in an increasingly data-driven world.

We were honoured to host senior leaders from AACSB International at IIM Ranchi for the AACSB Initial Campus Visit Workshop on September 19, 2026.

It was a privilege to welcome Dr. Geoff Perry (Executive Vice President & Chief Membership Officer - Asia Pacific & the Americas) and Mr. Prathap Das (Regional Head - South Asia) for an insightful and deeply engaging session with our Leadership, Faculty, Staff, and Accreditation Team.

Dr. Perry’s invaluable guidance provided IIM Ranchi with a powerful opportunity for self-reflection - helping us rigorously evaluate our alignment with global accreditation standards.

राजभाषा प्रकोष्ठ, आईआईएम रांची में 'हिंदी पखवाड़ा 2026' के अंतर्गत 21 सितम्बर 2026 को संस्थान में एक ऐसी शख्सीयत का पदार्पण हो रहा है, जो किसी औपचारिक परिचय की अपेक्षा नहीं रखता। एक प्रखर शिक्षाविद्, वरिष्ठ पत्रकार और कुशल प्रशासक - हम स्वागत कर रहे हैं श्री प्रो डॉ के. जी. सुरेश, इंडिया हैबिटेट सेंटर (India Habitat Centre New Delhi), नई दिल्ली के निदेशक (Director) का।

श्री सुरेश ने मीडिया और अकादमिक जगत के कई शीर्ष पदों का सफलतापूर्वक नेतृत्व किया है। डॉ सुरेश, माखनलाल चतुर्वेदी राष्ट्रीय पत्रकारिता एवं संचार विश्वविद्यालय (MCU), भोपाल के कुलपति (Vice-Chancellor) और भारत के प्रमुख मीडिया प्रशिक्षण संस्थान, IIMC के महानिदेशक (Director General) के रूप में अपना योगदान दे चुके हैं।

IIM Ranchi successfully conducted a three-day Training Programme on Negotiation Skills and Conflict Management for executives of NHPC Limited from September 14-16, 2026.

Designed around the realities of hydropower and infrastructure projects, the programme went beyond conventional negotiation frameworks to explore the art and strategy of managing stakeholders, resolving conflicts and building sustainable agreements. Participants engaged in experiential simulations involving contractor and vendor negotiations, multi-party project negotiations, and the complexities of managing difficult stakeholders during project ex*****on.

From strategic negotiation planning and financial acumen to communication, influence, persuasion and collaborative consensus building, the sessions equipped participants with practical approaches to navigating high-stakes project situations.

The programme culminated in an integrated capstone exercise on recovering a delayed hydropower project, bringing together the learning, perspectives and strategies developed throughout the three days.

A focused learning experience that reinforced one key idea: effective negotiation is not merely about reaching an agreement, but about creating outcomes that move projects and people forward.
