Viral Fever Is Increasing in Hyderabad β What Should ECIL Residents Know?
Fever, body pain, headache, weakness, cough and sore throat are common complaints during seasonal viral infections.
Recent Hyderabad reports have highlighted a rise in viral fever and influenza-like illnesses, while doctors are also cautioning that early symptoms can overlap with dengue and other infections.
If you live in ECIL, Nagaram, Kapra, AS Rao Nagar, Kushaiguda, Cherlapalli or nearby East Hyderabad, don't automatically assume every fever is βjust viral.β
π¨ See a doctor if:
β’ Fever continues beyond 2β3 days
β’ Fever is very high or getting worse
β’ You have severe weakness
β’ You develop breathing difficulty
β’ There is persistent vomiting or dehydration
β’ You develop rash or bleeding symptoms
β’ You have confusion, chest pain or unusual drowsiness
Remember:
Fever is a symptom β not a diagnosis.
Avoid unnecessary antibiotics and self-medication. If symptoms persist or worsen, seek appropriate medical evaluation.
