Jakhu Temple is one of Shimla’s most famous attractions. Dedicated to Lord Hanuman, it is located on Jakhu Hill, the highest point in Shimla at about 2,455–2,467 m (8,050 ft) above sea level. The temple is believed to be the place where Hanuman rested while searching for the Sanjeevani herb during the Ramayana.
