NCP (SP) J&K Delegation Meets Supriya Sule, Raises Fruit Transport, Alliance Issues

New Delhi, Aug 6th (CNS): A delegation of the Jammu and Kashmir unit of the Nationalist Congress Party–Sharadchandra Pawar (NCP-SP) met the party's Working President and Member of Parliament, Supriya Sule, in New Delhi and discussed several issues concerning Jammu and Kashmir, including the transportation of fruit, alliance commitments and organisational strengthening.

The delegation was led by State Convenor Bashir Ahmad Ahangar and State President (NMC) Mir Arifa Jan. Senior leaders Javaid Ahmad Rather, Nazir Ahmad, Pandit Durga Nath and other party functionaries were also present.

According to a party statement, the delegation urged Supriya Sule to ensure smooth movement of fruit-laden trucks carrying Kashmiri apples and pears on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway during the peak harvesting season.

They also sought the implementation of pre-poll commitments made by the National Conference (NC) to NCP (SP), discussed expansion of the party's grassroots network across the Union Territory and highlighted governance-related issues requiring the attention of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.

The statement said Supriya Sule reviewed a memorandum submitted by the state unit and assured the delegation of full support from the party leadership. She also assured that she would take up the issue of fruit transportation with the Chief Minister and the Lieutenant Governor and facilitate a meeting with the National Conference leadership to discuss alliance commitments and concerns related to the safety and security of party leaders in Jammu and Kashmir. NEW DELHI / SRINAGAR — A high-level delegation from the Jammu and Kashmir state unit of the Nationalist Congress Party – Sharadchandra Pawar (NCP-SP) held a crucial meeting in New Delhi with Party Working President and Honble Member of Parliament, Smt. Supriya Sule, on 5th August 2026 to discuss key regional issues and organizational growth.

Party Expansion: Executing a comprehensive strategy to strengthen the grassroots footprint of the NCP (SP) across the Union Territory.
Administrative Outreach: Identifying critical governance issues to escalate to J&K Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Jinab Omar Abdullah.

Smt. Supriya Sule thoroughly reviewed a memorandum of key issues submitted by the state unit and offered strategic inputs to reinforce the party's regional presence. She guaranteed full logistical and political backing from the party headquarters.
Furthermore, the Honb'le working President committed to personally intervening in the logistics crisis by raising the matter with both Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and LG Manoj Sinha. She also promised to coordinate a formal meeting with National Conference leadership to ensure all mutual political understandings are properly honored and safety and security of party leaders in U.T of J & K.
