πΏ PUBLIC APPEAL | STOP OPEN BURNING AROUND EID GAH, JAWAlA-JI-TEMPLE AND AZAD STADIUM, KHREW πΏ
We wish to draw the urgent attention of the Municipal Committee Khrew and the Imams of Masjids across Khrew Town towards the practice of open burning of cow dung, particularly around public spaces .
The burning of cow dung is generating large quantities of smoke, making the surrounding air extremely unpleasant and difficult to breathe. Public places should provide a clean and healthy environment where children, elderly persons, sportspersons and all residents can spend time safely and comfortably.
π We respectfully request the Municipal Committee Khrew to take necessary steps to discourage and prevent open burning in and around public places and to sensitise residents about cleaner and safer methods of disposal and management.
π We also appeal to the Imams of all Masjids in Khrew to play an important role in sensitising and educating the common people through Friday sermons and other community interactions about the harmful effects of unnecessary smoke and open burning, and to encourage everyone to abstain from burning cow dung and other waste in residential and public areas.
This is not merely an environmental issue; it is about protecting the health, comfort and dignity of our community, particularly our children and elderly.
Let us work together for a cleaner, healthier and smoke-free Khrew. π±

extends its warmest congratulations to Jahangir Jahan, Er. Ovais Hakak and Shahid, professional cyclists associated with the Kashmir Mountain Biking Association (KMBA), Khrew, on their commendable participation as Pilot Riders in the U-19 Cyclothon organised by J&K Police, Awantipora Division.
Their role in guiding, encouraging and supporting the young participants throughout the route reflects not only their cycling skills but also their commitment to nurturing and inspiring the next generation of cyclists in Kashmir. π΄ββοΈπͺ
