"I always had a passion for science, innovation, and engineering. When I was in the 9th grade, I decided to start preparing for the entrance exam to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT). Fortunately, my father was familiar with the system and provided me with the guidance I needed to succeed. For four years, I worked hard and studied diligently, and my efforts paid off when I received my acceptance letter to IIT Madras. It was a dream come true to be surrounded by like-minded individuals who shared my passion for technology. During my second year of studies, I received an email from the Students Club about a project that offered to fund for innovative ideas. I saw this as an opportunity to use my engineering skills to address social problems. With my roommate, Gobinath, we co-founded Modulus Housing, a construction technology business focused on creating rapid shelter solutions. Building Modulus Housing was not easy, but I was committed to making it work. We struggled with setting up a revenue model, operations, and supply chain, but every setback was a learning opportunity. We continued to experiment until we found the right solution. As we worked on Modulus Housing, we realized that we couldn't just focus on disaster relief solutions. We expanded our vision and incorporated social impact into our projects. We wanted to disrupt the construction industry by making construction technology more accessible to everyone. Why do only big projects need construction accessibility? We focused on bringing this accessibility to the masses as well.  With a clear vision, a strong team, and the right mindset, we were able to build a successful business that continues to make a positive impact on society. My journey from preparing for IIT to founding a socially responsible business has taught me the power of hard work, sense of purpose, and a desire to make a difference." #innovation #passion #science #teambuilding #business #hardwork #purpose #motivation #Chennai #HumansofMadras
