But does someoneโs reputation tell us what actually happened?
In workplace sexual-harassment matters, we often make the mistake of judging a situation based on the person involved rather than examining the conduct itself.
Being respected does not make inappropriate behaviour appropriate.
But equally, an allegation should not make someone guilty simply because people believe the complainant.
That is why a fair POSH process matters.
Listen to the facts.
Examine the circumstances.
Follow due process.
And donโt let reputation replace inquiry.

For me, allyship is not just about saying
It is about ๐ฌ๐ก๐จ๐ฐ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฎ๐ฉ ๐ฐ๐ก๐๐ง ๐ข๐ญ ๐ฆ๐๐ญ๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ฌ.
It is listening without judgement.
It is speaking up when you see bias or injustice.
It is making space for voices that are often unheard.
It is creating an environment where people feel safe, respected and valued.
And sometimes, allyship means standing beside someone when it would be easier to stay silent.
I truly believe that

Can a woman file her sexual harassment complaint with her own office ICC โ even if the accused works in a different department?
๐๐๐, says the Supreme Court.
Dr. Sohail Malik v. Union of India (2025 INSC 1415)
An IAS officer complained against an officer from a different department. He argued: "Only my department's IC can hear this." The CAT and Delhi High Court disagreed. So did the Supreme Court.
A woman is NOT required to complain at the accused's workplace
โ
Her own IC has full power to investigate
โ
The accused's employer only steps in later โ for disciplinary action
โ
Forcing her to go to a "hostile" or unfamiliar office would defeat the entire purpose of the POSH Act
No more jurisdiction games. No more "wrong office" excuses. Whether you're in government service or the private sector โ your ICC, your rules.
This is a big win for accessible, women-first justice at the workplace. ๐
Can men be victims of sexual harassment?
Most people answer this question emotionally. Very few answer it honestly.
While the POSH Act specifically protects women against sexual harassment at the workplace, uncomfortable, inappropriate, and unwanted behaviour can affect anyone.
So why do we hesitate when the victim is a man?
In Episode 11 of ๐๐ซ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ซ๐๐๐ฌ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐๐ฌ๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ๐ข, we explore this uncomfortable but important conversationโwithout stereotypes, without judgment, and without filters.

The โน370 Biryani controversy is not really about biryani.
It's about entitlement.
A young man spent โน370 on a meal and publicly suggested that he deserved something in return.
What followed was outrage, criticism, apologies, and eventually the loss of his job.
But let's pause for a moment.
How many times have we heard versions of this thinking in everyday life?
I spent money on you."
I did so much for you."
I invested my time."
At least I deserve something."
No.
Respect, kindness, gifts, dinners, support, and affection should never be treated as transactions.
Nobody can buy consent.
Nobody can earn entitlement to another person.
Nobody owes intimacy because money was spent.
That part is simple.
But another question is equally interesting.
Would this person's employer have reacted the same way if the video had not gone viral?
If social media had ignored it...
If there was no outrage...
If nobody was tagging the company...
Would the consequences have been the same?
Or are we increasingly living in a world where public visibility determines accountability?
I don't have all the answers.
But I believe both questions deserve discussion.
Why do so many people still confuse spending money with entitlement?
Should social media outrage influence employment decisions?

Not all power comes with a designation.
Sometimes it comes with influence.
Sometimes with seniority.
Sometimes with relationships.
Sometimes with being considered "too valuable to lose."
And that is where one of the biggest grey areas in POSH begins.
On paper, every employee is equal.
But when a complaint involves:
โข A senior leader
โข A top performer
โข A key revenue generator
โข Someone with significant influence
Can the experience of the process truly feel equal?
In Edition 25 of POSH Insights & , we explore the uncomfortable reality of workplace power dynamics and their impact on trust, reporting, and justice.
Does power influence perception?
Do employees hesitate to report against influential individuals?
Can equality of process exist without equality of experience?
Because the real test of a POSH system is not how it handles ordinary cases.
It is how it handles cases where influence, authority, and hierarchy enter the room.
A safe workplace is built when employees believe one thing:
๐ No one is above the process.

Let's have an honest discussion:
Do you believe workplace hierarchy can unintentionally influence the outcome of POSH inquiries, even when the process appears fair on paper?

Most people don't fail because they lack talent.
They fail because they stay silent when it matters most.
In this podcast, I had an honest conversation about courage, leadership, speaking up, professional challenges, legal awareness, and the uncomfortable truths that often go unspoken.
We discussed:
โ
Why people hesitate to raise their voice
โ
The cost of remaining silent
โ
Challenges professionals face in today's environment
โ
Real-life experiences and lessons from the legal world
โ
What it takes to stand firm when everyone expects you to stay quiet
Some of the perspectives shared may challenge conventional thinking.
And that's exactly why this conversation matters.

โRelaxโฆ it was just a compliment.โ
But was it respectfulโฆ or uncomfortable?
In workplaces, the difference between appreciation and inappropriate remarks often depends on context, tone, repetition, and how the other person experiences it.
Because not every comment about appearance feels harmless.
Professional boundaries are not about removing kindness โ
theyโre about maintaining respect.

One of the first questions people ask after a workplace harassment complaint:
โWhy didnโt she speak earlier?โ
But very few people ask:
โWhat made her afraid to speak?โ
Fear, pressure, workplace politics, financial dependency, self-doubt, and emotional confusion often delay reporting in harassment cases.
Delayed complaints do not automatically mean false complaints.
Sometimes silence is not absence of harm.
Sometimes silence is survival.
Watch till the end and tell us:
Do workplaces create environments where people actually feel safe to report misconduct?
