In collaboration with Goethe Institut, Exodus Community brings you Open Decks a space to discover, learn, and express yourself through music. We’re building a stronger DJ culture, one set after another.

Am 20.08.2026 bieten wir eine C1‑Prüfung in Erbil an.

Die C1‑Prüfung richtet sich an Personen, die:

– sich auf ein Studium in Deutschland vorbereiten,
– für den beruflichen Kontext fortgeschrittene Deutschkenntnisse nachweisen müssen,
– eine Tätigkeit im medizinischen Bereich in Deutschland anstreben,
– ihren Sprachstand auf dem Niveau C1 offiziell dokumentieren möchten,
– ein international anerkanntes Sprachzertifikat benötigen.

بە ئیلهام وەرگرتن لە شیعرەکانی شاعیری ناوداری کورد ئەحمەدی خانی، دانا محەدین چیرۆکەکەی مەم و زینی بە شێوازێکی مۆسیقی شیکردۆتەوە کە شیعر و ئاواز و ڕیتم تێکەڵ دەکات بۆ دروستکردنی ئەزموونێکی هونەریی کاریگەر. بە تێکەڵکردنی بڕگەیەک لە شیعرە کلاسیکەکانی ئەحمەدی خانی، نمایشەکە جەختی لە دەوڵەمەندیی کولتووری کوردی و قووڵیی میراتی ئەدەبیی کردەوە.🎶✨

ئەم کۆنسێرتە لەلایەن پەیمانگای گۆتە بە هەماهەنگی وەزارەتی ڕۆشنبیری و لاوان و بەڕێوەبەرایەتیی گشتیی ڕۆشنبیری و هونەری هەولێر بەڕێوەچوو.

Inspired by the poems of the renowned Kurdish poet Ahmad Khani, Dana Muhedin has interpreted the story of Mem and Zin in a musical style that blends poetry, melody, and rhythm to create a powerful artistic experience. By incorporating excerpts from Ahmadi Khanî's classic poems, the performance highlighted the richness of Kurdish culture and the depth of its literary heritage. 🎶✨

This concert was organized by the Goethe-Institut in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Youth and the General Directorate of Culture and Arts of Erbil.

Nach knapp 15 Jahren endet die Amtszeit unseres Generalsekretärs Johannes Ebert. Dies möchten wir zum Anlass nehmen, ihm für sein langjähriges Engagement und seinen Einsatz für den internationalen Kulturaustausch herzlich zu danken.

Mit besonderer Freude blicken wir auf seinen Besuch in Erbil im Januar 2023 anlässlich des 60. Jahrestags des Élysée-Vertrags und des 5. Jahrestags des Aachener Vertrags zurück. Gemeinsam mit unseren Partner*innen legte er den symbolischen Grundstein für das Deutsch-Französische Kulturinstitut, das auf der historischen Zitadelle von Erbil entstehen soll.

Trotz einer langen Anreise nahm er sich Zeit für die Begegnungen vor Ort – vom Besuch des kurdischen Konzerts auf der Zitadelle über Gespräche mit jungen Künstler*innen im Rahmen des Guan-Eden-Umweltprojekts bis hin zum Austausch mit den Kolleg*innen am Goethe-Institut Erbil, denen er aufmerksam zuhörte.

Sehr geehrter Herr Ebert, wir danken Ihnen herzlich für Ihr Vertrauen, Ihr Interesse an den Menschen und Projekten vor Ort sowie für die inspirierende Zusammenarbeit. Für Ihren weiteren Weg wünschen wir Ihnen alles Gute und viel Erfolg. 🍀

After nearly 15 years, our Secretary-General Johannes Ebert’s term of service is coming to an end. We would like to take this opportunity to thank him warmly for his many years of dedication and his commitment to international cultural exchange.

We look back with particular pleasure on his visit to Erbil in January 2023 to mark the 60th anniversary of the Élysée Treaty and the 5th anniversary of the Aachen Treaty. Together with our partners, he laid the symbolic foundation stone for the Franco-German Cultural Institute, which is to be built on the historic citadel of Erbil.

Despite a long journey, he took the time to engage with people on the ground – from attending the Kurdish concert at the citadel, to discussions with young artists as part of the Guan-Eden environmental project, to exchanges with colleagues at the Goethe-Institut Erbil, to whom he listened attentively.

Dear Mr Ebert, we would like to thank you warmly for your trust, your interest in the local people and projects, and for the inspiring collaboration. We wish you all the best and every success for the future. 🍀
