Tabriz ,the 4th most populated city in Iran after Tehran, Mashhad & Isfahan, with a population of 1,559,00, is the largest city for Iranian Turk people. Discovered bodies from excavates around Blue mosque of Tabriz proves that the city is at least 3000 years old. Most of Tabrizi people speak “Azerbaijani Turkish” language but there is also an Armenian minority who speaks Armenian language.
Tabriz was Iran’s capital during the dynasties of Qara Qoyunlu, Aq Qoyunlu & Safavides (the first capital of Shia Islam in the world) and was Iran’s crown predominantly during Qajar dynasty.

First foundation of Tabriz dates back to 4500 years ago. It has been the capital of Iran in the past under several kingdoms. Tabriz is one of the most modern cities in Iran and is considered as the economic, commercial and industrial hub of northwestern Iran.

EL Goli park (Shah Goli)
El means ‘people’ and Gol means ‘pool’ in Turkish language. Therefore, El Goli means a pool that belongs to people. El Goli Park is the leading touristic pole of Tabriz due to its natural beauties. The awesome feeling of walking in the nice and fresh coolness of this park can never be compared to any other landmarks of Tabriz. El Goli Park is facilitated with a various range of entertaining equipments and nice cafes.
The water in the pool acted as a source for watering the gardens around the Eastern region of Tabriz.
This nice pool was built during the reign of Aq Qoyunlu Dynastythe, later in Safavid era, The pool was emptied of water and was filled with pebbles, sand, and the waste produced in the surrounding area. Quite the contrary, much care was given to El Goli Park in Qajar era. Some routes were constructed around the pool for the ease of walking. Many trees of different kinds were also planted for the sake of beauty. The two-storey mansion was also built in the center of the pool upon the command of the ruler of the time and today it is a resturanat.
Its architecture follows the same rules and basis of Persian gardens: A pool or lake with a mansion in its center and a garden with dense trees around.

Muqarnas (Arabic) also known in Iranian architecture as Ahoopāy and in Iberian architecture as Mocárabe, is a form of ornamented vaulting in Islamic architecture. It is the archetypal form of Islamic architecture, integral to the vernacular of Islamic buildings. The muqarnas structure originated from the squinch. Sometimes called "honeycomb vaulting"or "stalactite vaulting", the purpose of muqarnas is to create a smooth, decorative zone of transition in an otherwise bare, structural space. This structure gives the ability to distinguish between the main parts of a building, and serve as a transition from the walls of a room into a domed ceiling.

Happy World Tourism Day🎉🗺️
There are 26 UNESCO World Heritage sites in Iran. 24 cultural heritages and 2 natural heritages, which we have introduced in this post. Also 16 tangible cultural heritages were registered in the UNESCO world heritage list.
It is also worth mentioning that places such as Naghsh-e Rostam, Damavand, Masouleh, etc. have been proposed for UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Which of these cultural and natural sites have you ever visited?

The Lut Desert, widely referred to as Dasht-e Lut, is a large salt desert located in the provinces of Kerman and Sistan and Baluchestan, Iran.
It is the world's 25th-largest desert and was included on UNESCO's World Heritage List on July 17, 2016. The surface of its sand has been measured at temperatures as high as 70 °C (159 °F) making it one of the world's driest and hottest places.
Lut Desert is the first wide desert in the south-east of Iran and one of the hyper-hot and arid deserts around the world; Extended across three provinces of south Khorasan, Sistan & Baluchestan and Kerman, it has covered about 10 per cent of Iran’s extent. It was measured as the hottest spot on the planet in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2009 by situating in geothermal pole of the earth. Also, it has recorded as the hottest spot in all around the earth planet with 70˚C temperature in 2005.

Lut desert is divided into three geographical landforms: Northern Lut constituted of the elements of gravel and sand; Central Lut, as the most amazing part with highly astonishing phenomena in the world like Kaluts (Natural ridges in various forms resulted from the water, wind and erosion mechanisms), as well as the masses and huge sandy dunes; South Lut with the richest vegetation.

Lut desert and its surroundings display an extensive natural landscape, with potential and realized values, because of its natural desert phenomena: Kaluts landforms with the highest observed Yardangs anywhere on the planet (bedrock features carved and streamlined by sandblasting), the highest sandy dunes and Nebkha dune fields (the phenomenon of interaction between wind erosion and vegetation resulted in a sandy dune formed around the plants), massive erosional ditches, Hydrologic networks, tectonic holes, rare salt phenomena and extensive stony desert pavements (Hamada), Qanats, historical areas and villages, and ancient civilization settlements.

"The 2800 year-old kiss” These human remains were unearthed in 1972 at the Teppe Hasanlu archaeological site, located in the Solduz Valley in the West Azerbaijan Province of Iran. The site was burned after a military attack. People from both fighting sides were killed in the fire, which apparently spread quite unexpectedly and quickly through the town. The skeletons were found in a plaster grain bin, probably hiding from soldiers, and they almost certainly asphyxiated quickly. The “head wound” is actually from modern-day excavators.

The image depicts two human skeletons, seemingly in an embrace, which earned the photograph its title The 2800 Years Old Kiss. Though many sources identify the skeletons as both being male, according to “The Culture and Social Institutions of Ancient Iran” by Muhammad A. Dandamaev, Vladimir G. Lukonin, Philip L. Kohl published by Cambridge University Press, the skeletons are male and female (female on the left). Archaeology magazine also identifies them as male and female with the additional information of their height (around 5 foot 2 inches each).
