Daa è l’incontro tra un processo dedicato alla produzione di meccanica pesante e il design del mobile. Una via alternativa alla produzione seriale che pone dodici designer e l’eccellenza industriale Made in Italy di fronte a una sfida inedita: realizzare complementi d’arredo attraverso gli strumenti e le abilità con cui si creano benne, bracci e telai per macchine movimento terra.
“Da a” significa dunque compiere un passaggio di stato. Come l’acqua reagisce alla temperatura assumendo sempre forme nuove, così un processo destinato a monolitici componenti meccanici genera, catalizzato dal confronto con il progettista, una nuova visione del design.
È nello spazio bianco e nell’assoluta libertà creativa che risiede la forza e la sfida di questa esperienza di frontiera. L’assenza di un possibile confronto con percorsi precedenti e la possibilità di non riferirsi a stilemi predefiniti, generano un perfetto equilibrio tra la personalità dei singoli designer e l’idea che Daa vuole affermare e trasmettere. Un’identità caratterizzata da un costante “in divenire” e, al contempo, da una precisa e consistente unicità. Daa include nell’oggetto una pluralità di voci per crearne una nuova, più forte e netta, fatta del rapporto plastico che si crea tra designer e materie, il metallo e non solo, processo industriale e abilità artigiana nel saldare, piegare, rifinire. Una coesione capace anche di dare nuova collocazione e valore al saper fare industria in Italia: la capacità produttiva, la ricerca di nuove soluzioni tecnologie, il recupero e valorizzazione di tecniche di lavorazione millenarie. Daa racconta attraverso i propri prodotti una riflessione capace di entrare in ogni tipologia di interior e outdoor, arredandolo e connotandolo in modo a volte confidenziale a volte manifesto. Una vocazione artistica che non scivola mai nella lontananza dall’utilizzatore o nella deliberata elusione dalla funzionalità dell’oggetto. Daa è ibridazione di competenze che danno vita a una specie nuova, destinata a creare, e ricreare nel tempo, infiniti modi di abitare.

A sequence of slender steel lines creates a graphic, architectural presence, balancing structure and transparency.

TATOUTINA
A graphic presence.
Designed by Daniele Ruzza , Tatoutina combines a sculptural silhouette with a strong, distinctive character. Its aluminium structure, defined by slightly inclined cylindrical legs and signature side discs, frames the leather seat and backrest.
A balance of contrasting materials, clean lines and carefully considered proportions.
Available in a selection of smooth indoor paint finishes and different leather colours, allowing for multiple combinations.

SOL CHAISE LONGUE
Designed by BaldessarieBaldessari , SOL combines generous proportions with a light, essential structure.
Its curved stainless steel frame supports technical elastic straps and a Fly-Dry draining cushion, while the hand-braided technical cord defines the backrest with a distinctive handcrafted detail.
Created to move naturally between indoor and outdoor spaces, SOL brings comfort and material research together in one relaxed form, made for long, unhurried moments.

STRIP
A vertical composition of lines, volumes, and open space.
Designed by Castiglia Associati , STRIP transforms storage into a graphic architectural presence. Its slender steel elements and staggered shelves create ever-changing perspectives, allowing light to pass through while displayed objects become part of the composition.
Shown here with a width of 40 cm, STRIP is also offered in an 80 cm version. The indoor-outdoor paint finishes are available in smooth or textured options.

TRAME
A play of volumes, balance and suspension.
Designed by Daniele Ruzza , TRAME is an indoor-outdoor pouf collection shaped through laser-cutting and steel rolling. Its perforated steel structure creates a distinctive interplay of solidity and lightness.
The removable Fly-Dry cushion is shaped, drainable and secured by a magnet.

REGINA
Sculpture meets function.
Designed by and , Regina is part of the Re, Regina and Fante family - a series of sculptural objects inspired by the figures of playing cards and conceived as an homage to the artist Fausto Melotti.
Made from laser-cut steel elements and welded round steel rods, Regina is both a decorative presence and a functional coat hanger and pocket emptier.
