I want to tell you the story of Tigran and Arsen,
two very young boys.
I do not know them.
but I know they loved each other.
I do not know them.
But I know that, even today,
if you are a boy who loves another boy,
you become a mistake to be corrected.
I do not know them.
But I know that when the world around them
realized theirs was not just friendship,
they took their air away.
They took their names away.
They took their future away.
I do not know them.
But I know that on October 20 2022,
they climbed a bridge in Yerevan,
they held hands,
and they jumped. Together.
They left a photo behind,
below it, written: Happy End.
I do not know them.
But I know that no love should ever end this way.
I did the only thing I know how to do to tell their story.
I wrote a song. It’s called “Kite.”
