Gli spazi sono pensati come un equilibrio tra rigore architettonico e comfort quotidiano, attraverso una palette essenziale, superfici materiche e geometrie pulite che definiscono un’identità elegante e senza tempo.

The project concerns the renovation of an apartment for a new family in the center of Milan.
The residence is characterized by a "free" layout in which the partition walls are treated as "sheets" that fold in plan and section according to the characteristics of the different rooms.
The space was intended as a big single room in which the walls define areas, and suggest ways of use, always different.
The use of curtains, in the living area and sleeping area, also makes it possible to perceive the space subdivisions as flexible elements that can always be modified over time.
The floor was designed with a large oak parquet surface in which the inlays in different wood essence (walnut) or in resin are capable to underline different spaces, like a sort of large carpets.
The study of color emphasizes the strong character of every room, identifying the various spaces with different colors capable to underline the different lighting of each room.

Il progetto riguarda la ristrutturazione di un appartamento per una nuova famiglia nel centro di Milano.
La residenza si caratterizza per un layout “libero” in cui i muri divisori sono trattati come “fogli” che si piegano in pianta e sezione in base alle caratteristiche dei vari ambienti.
Lo spazio è stato inteso come un’unica stanza in cui le pareti definiscono ambiti, e suggeriscono modi di utilizzo, sempre differenti.
L’utilizzo di tende, nella zona giorno e nella zona notte, permettono inoltre di far percepire queste suddivisioni degli spazi come elementi flessibili e sempre modificabili nel tempo.
La pavimentazione è stata pensata come una grande superficie in parquet rovere nella quale sono stati ricavati degli intarsi in essenza differente (rovere termocotto) o in resina , capaci di demarcare spazi differenti, come una sorta di grandi tappeti.
Lo studio del colore demarca il forte carattere di ogni ambiente, identificando i vari spazi con colorazioni sempre diverse capaci di enfatizzare la differente illuminazione di ogni stanza.
