This morning I had the absolute pleasure and honor of hosting Elyssa from Romewise who wanted to experience firsthand the route, the history, and all the heart behind my “Cats of Rome” tour.
For the occasion, Elyssa chose fitwalking—the perfect alternative to light jogging for enjoying the city at a dynamic yet comfortable pace.
“The Cats of Rome” tour is one of the most original, poetic, and evocative experiences for discovering the city in a whole new light. Its beauty lies in the perfect balance between ancient history, urban sensitivity, and deep passion. Looking at Rome through the eyes of its felines means uncovering a fascinating parallel narrative: from sacred animals and companions in antiquity to silent guardians of the monuments, all the way to their role in local folklore and popular culture.
As with every ArcheoRunning experience, the real magic lies in how you experience it: it’s neither a rushed run nor a rigid guided tour, but an experience that blends wellness, culture, professionalism, and gentle movement. You move at just the right rhythm to savor the awakening city, breathe in the authentic atmosphere of the local neighborhoods, and catch details that a hurried tourist would miss entirely—guided by deep scientific rigor paired with genuine empathy. 🌅🏛️
Starting the day early in the morning always holds a unique kind of magic. A heartfelt thank you to Elyssa for sharing this morning and bringing such wonderful energy!
Have you ever experienced the magic of taking in the city at the first light of dawn? ☕👇

🌅 This morning I had the absolute pleasure of guiding two truly special guests: two amazing Ironman and 70.3 finishers all the way from South Africa! 🇿🇦✨
Sabina wanted a unique itinerary: combining the majesty of Rome’s most iconic squares with the magic of its hidden, secret spots. Say no more!
At 6:00 AM, with our running shoes laced up and the city still wrapped in an enchanted silence, we set off to take in the golden morning light and enjoy a Rome all to ourselves, perfectly quiet before the crowds arrived.
It was one of those mornings that fills your heart: a perfect mix of rich history, breathtaking beauty, light footsteps, and so many shared laughs.
I deeply love working like this: sharing a passion for history, art, and movement with people who truly know how to appreciate beauty in every single detail. Rome at dawn is simply unbeatable! 🏛️🌅

The latest wonderful proof? The experience shared with Sara and her family. They wanted to share a special moment together, so we went for a mix of light jogging and fit walking along the new edition of our Hidden Rome Running Tour!
Between light strides, brisk walking intervals, and endless curiosity, we explored the most hidden and captivating corners of Rome. So many questions, so much fun, and the pure joy of rediscovering the city together.
An unforgettable morning that proves once again the beauty of combining culture, wellness, and gentle movement. ✨

A few weeks ago, I took a very special business trip. Those who know me well already know: I can never resist the call of places off the beaten tourist track—those capable of telling authentic, hidden, and surprising stories.
And it was right out of this trip that the inspiration for a new, incredible experience was born!
Exploring the Phlegraean Fields!
The term comes from the Greek phlegraios, which means “burning fields.” We’re not talking about a single volcano, but a vast, active, and fascinating volcanic area: a true supervolcano shaped by time, myth, and the phenomenon of bradyseism. It is a living land, steeped in ancient history, underworld legends, and breathtaking landscapes.
During this trip, I went to explore firsthand extraordinary spots that will be part of the new itinerary:
Liternum: The ancient Roman colony where Scipio Africanus chose to retire and be buried.
Cuma: The oldest Greek colony in the West, a place of myth and home to the legendary Cumaean Sibyl.
Pozzuoli: Home to the magnificent Flavian Amphitheater—the third largest Roman amphitheater in Italy after the Colosseum and the Amphitheater of Capua—and the unique charm of the Macellum (famously known as the Temple of Serapis).
Baia: Amidst the wonders of the Archaeological Park of the Baths of Baia and the majesty of its Aragonese Castle overlooking the sea.
Bacoli: Featuring the incredible underground water cathedral of Piscina Mirabilis, the fascinating and mysterious Cento Camerelle (known as the “Prisons of Nero”), and views that enchant at every glance...and so many other wonderful corners!
✨ Culture, beauty, and gentle movement: a new adventure is taking shape, always guided by a passion for authentic discovery and for history experienced step by step, with an open heart.
Ready to discover this magical territory together? Stay tuned for all the details! 🏃♀️🏛️✨
My addiction… I can’t help it. It’s stronger than me 😂

While I’m away in Calabria for family reasons, back in Rome my fantastic team led a truly special running tour with the wonderful Eylem and her sister.
They chose our classic “Best of Rome” running tour, experiencing the magic of the city’s most iconic piazzas bathed in the early morning light and quiet. A perfect blend of beauty, history, and gentle movement.
A huge thank you to Eylem for choosing our professionalism and the care we put into every single step!
See you next time for another run through history! 🏛️👟

Yesterday was an incredibly intense day—one of those that fly by between a thousand things to do and getting ready for my departure today. Yet, in the heart of all this hustle and bustle, there was a moment of pure beauty that I absolutely have to share with you.
A small, close-knit group of friends, traveling together to discover the wonder of Rome. For them, I tailored an experience they won’t soon forget: experiencing the Eternal City at the first light of dawn, when everything is still quiet and beauty reveals itself completely unfiltered.
We ran together on a truly special running tour. We combined the timeless charm of the most iconic squares, the thrill of finding hidden gems, and a touch of playful curiosity... searching for cats among the majestic ruins of Imperial Rome! 🐾🏛️
The most beautiful part wasn’t just showing them the city, but witnessing the intimate, deep, and warm connection that was shared among them. Seeing them laugh, marvel, and share such a magical moment in the quiet of the morning was an immense gift.
Thank you, guys, for running with me and for making the eve of my departure so incredibly special!
And what about you—have you ever seen Rome wake up? 🤍

It was August 14th, 2022, when Elizabeth and I first met. ❤️
At the time, she was writing articles for a travel magazine and a very famous guidebook. She did a running tour with me, and we instantly clicked! 🏃♀️✨
Shortly after, she decided to embark on a new adventure: Villaggio Tours (a beautiful project of customized, intimate group trips with meticulous attention to detail, designed to make people feel part of a community, just like in a small village). 🌍
When she decided to bring her clients to Rome, she contacted me as their tour guide. From that moment, a partnership built on trust and mutual respect was born—so much so that today I am featured on her brand-new website! 💻✨
What can I say... I am truly proud of this collaboration built on friendship and admiration! 🥂

This is one of those social media trends that everyone seemed to jump on ages ago… and, as usual, I’m fashionably late. But that’s okay. Work often takes up so much of my time, and I’ve learned that I don’t have to do everything when everyone else does. I take my time—and I choose the right moment.
As always, though, I wanted to tell the story in my own way.
This isn’t just about me. It’s about a city that, many years later, would become my home. It’s about Rome as it was 34 years ago. And above all, it’s about the person who captured those precious moments forever: my father, through the lens of his camera.
Yesterday marked five months since he left us. Almost without realizing it, I found myself looking through these photographs again. I was transported back to that beautiful summer, to the carefree joy of those days, and to the coin I tossed into the Trevi Fountain, never imagining that years later it would truly bring me back here, where a new chapter of my life would begin in 2013.
These photos hold my past. They hold my present. And, in a way, they were already holding my future.
They carry the roots that shaped me, the dreams that eventually found their way, and the quiet love of a father who, with a camera in his hands, gave me memories that are now more precious than words could ever express.
Maybe that’s the true magic of photographs: they freeze a moment in time, yet they never stop telling a story.
And this one is simply mine. ❤️
