A small video mapping presented last Saturday inside the kitchen cabinets of the NooArts house on Governors Island.

The projection inhabited the domestic architecture of the space, turning the cabinets into small luminous chambers, as if an aquarium video had been embedded within the room.

Gold thread and white nails become a form of writing—slow, tactile, and not entirely legible.

Their making, like embroidery or the act of driving nails by hand, unfolds through time, producing a loss of meaning tied to the relationship between detail and whole, between part and totality—capable of leading elsewhere.

These images act both immediately—striking the gaze—and more deeply, through myth and symbol.

The hybrid form becomes a fluid space, where representations merge and shift, attempting to give a unified body back to what has been fragmented, as a way to approach the ineffable.

Zoomorphism in Hindu deities operates as a symbolic language—rendering the divine through hybrid human–animal forms. Figures such as Hayagriva or Narasimha embody archetypal qualities like strength, wisdom, and transformation.

Rather than a regression to the animal world, these forms suggest a move beyond anthropocentrism, where human, animal, and divine share the same origin.

In this work, hybridity becomes a fluid space—where identity and meaning remain open, continuously shifting and recombining in an attempt to give a unified body back to what has been fragmented, as a way to approach the ineffable.
