Fun story. My brother-in-law Neville was the first to teach me how to make jewelry, repair and make watches from scratch. He is one of the greats. When I first started learning anything about the industry it was from him in Mandeville Jamaica. I would not be where I am if not for the knowledge he shared with me.

Pure elegance.

Story time...A glimpse in the past. This is our original storefront in Santa Cruz Jamaica. We opened it in the early '80s and it was a tiny spot but we were bustling and busy. We made custom everything including intricate beaded pieces. We loved our clients and most of them became like family to us. Fast forward ⏩ it's almost 40 years after opening that original spot, a woman walks into our current location in junction St Elizabeth, sees us and asks us if we remember her.

Now, we see hundreds of people a week so unfortunately we didn't remember her. But she pointed to her necklace it's gold Cuban Link and said..."you hand made this for me in 1985 and I've never taken it off since" !

Now that is a legacy we like to see. That's something you've made with your hands can go on living for so long and it's cherished and will soon be an heirloom to someone's child or grandchild.

Storytime! So this is a photo from many years ago. I learned the trade from my wife's older brother in the 80s. I then taught the trade to both my children and my wife as well. Watchmaking and jewelry.

My son is a diamond grader and my daughter is a watch technician by trade. My brother-in-law, my nephew and a few other relatives all have something to do with this amazing art form that is now dying out. I hope that I can teach it to my grandkids and have them take up some of this amazing art form.
