Big Thank You to everyone who came to assist us at our International Coastal Clean Up Day, which was held on Saturday September 21st, 2024.

Your participation, enthusiam and committment were evident in the tireless efforts displayed by your team. The hours spent collecting trash and promoting environmental awareneness was indeed worth it.

Your involvement has inspired others to take action and join the movement towards a cleaner, healthier environment. We appreciate your partnership and look forward working with you again.

After five solid days of setting micro nubbins of Elkhorn and Fused-Staghorn coral to culture under shaded frames at our new western Ocho Rios Marine Park nursery, our team of friends and volunteers got up to 700 new corals into culture at this site. 

We're only getting started but the best part is that we stocked the frames with representatives of 16 different source colonies from Dunn's River back to Mammee Bay, all in stunning condition (Slide 2).

Three weeks on and we're seeing 100% survival as well as growth, despite swift paling from most of one lineage sourced near to .

Tomorrow marks the first anniversary of last year's mass bleaching episode. While we're thankful to have acted ahead of time this year, we're anxiously crossing our fingers and fins for what's to come.

Durante cinco días intensos colocando microfragmentos de corales acropora bajo estructuras sombreadas en nuestro nuevo vivero en el sector occidental del Parque Marino de Ocho Ríos, logramos poner en cultivo a casi 700 corales  nuevos. 

Esto apenas empieza pero la mejor parte es que ahora tenemos representantes de 16 colonias individuales provenientes del sector entre Dunn's River y Mammee Bay en el vivero, cada una en excelentes condiciones. 

Después de 3 semanas, ha sobrevivido el 100% a pesar de la condición pálida de la mayoría de una línea genética obtenida cerca de , y están comenzando a crecer.   

El día de mañana marcará un año después del episodio de blanqueamiento masivo del año pasado. Aunque estamos felices de haber actuado con más antelación este año, esperamos con ansias lo que está por venir.

It is with our deepest sorrow that we inform you the death of our beloved Dive Master, Lead Coral Gardener, Fisherman, Everton Simpson.

We send our condolences to the family and pray his soul rest in peace.

Our back to school treat is back !

As we bring our outreach pilot program to a close for now we would like to give a big shout out to our sponsors who provided 3 of our students with a book scholarship for use to buy books and stationary for the next school year

These students would have created a diorama and made a written piece on something they learned throughout the program. The pieces made were very creatively done by our students and we are extremely proud of them

We would also really like to thanks for funding this program and allowing us to impart the knowledge we have on to our future ocean advocates and community leaders

Thank you to teacher - Ms. Miller at Newstead Primary who really made this possible. Always corresponding with the teachers and parents to ensure it was a success
