Lettuce Cook
Come join the fun! Put on an apron and learn how healthy ingredients can turn into a delicious meal. Hands-on experience for kids ages 7-15. Healthy vs.
Unhealthy
Lettuce Cook is a place where kids can explore food, develop cooking skills, learn healthy eating habits and have fun in the process. Our first goal is to teach children that healthy food can taste delicious. Sometimes, all it takes is a little bit of creativity and knowledge to substitute unhealthy ingredients with more nutritious ones to produce the perfect meal. Culinary Exposure
Our second goal is to expose children to food from different cultures. We take a culinary tour around the world and discover what dishes are popular in other parts of the world; recreating famous appetizers, main courses and desserts. Leadership Skills
Lastly, we aim to give kids more independence and confidence in the kitchen by handing them the recipes and directions, allowing them to learn through hands-on experience in class and then taking these skills to recreate the recipes at home to enjoy with friends and family. Relying on our chef’s academic background in hotel management from a top-ranked Swiss university and her experience working in five-star hotel kitchens, we will educate our students on correct and safe food preparation and handling as well as a variety of cooking methods. Safety
Safety is a top priority in our kitchen; all our equipment is children-friendly and our class size is small to ensure maximum supervision.
