Medical Radiologic Technologies

The Department of Medical Radiologic Technologies at Zarqa University is a distinguished department in teaching radiologic technology and applied medical imaging, supports the process of development, research, and development in Jordan and abroad, and contributes to building a healthy society. Diagnostic radiology and its applications are considered one of the most important pillars in any health facility concerned with providing medical care services, as it was not limited to its vital role in diagnosing diseases only, but also went beyond that to its use in treatment. Radiology and its techniques have passed since the discovery of X-rays on the eighth of November of the year 1895 to this day, with rapid developments, radiology sciences have branched out to include multiple applications and technologies. As part of their work, radiologists independently perform very complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures that require a broad theoretical background, solid clinical training, and high technical capabilities. Accordingly, the department graduates can make and understand radiological images of all kinds, and work with radiologists, nuclear medicine doctors, and doctors specializing in examining tumors and other diseases. The program also qualifies graduates to work as medical technicians in the field of diagnostic radiology techniques in radiology and medical imaging departments in hospitals and health centers.
