Manchester United have been informed by the Pro Ref. 👨🏼‍⚖️

“Following the incident in the 60th minute of Sunday’s Premier League fixture between Manchester United and Manchester City at Old Trafford, we can provide clarification regarding Erling Haaland’s awarded goal.

“The on-field decision was offside against Erling Haaland – that was checked by VAR and he was found to be in an onside position.

“In the same attack, it was established that Enzo Fernandez did not play the ball and therefore that makes any offside offence subjective, however, on this occasion, the VAR did not recognise the likely impact of his position and should have recommended an on-field review.

“Contact has been made with Manchester United this evening to acknowledge what we deem is an error of judgement. A review of the incident will take place.”

Former Man Utd star Owen Hargreaves believes Kobbie Mainoo can become the 'best in the world’ 😮

The TNT Sports pundit said: 🗣️ “I’ve never seen Kobbie play bad. Every time I watch him play football, I think, ‘How can somebody not play this young man?’

“I just think he’s a fabulous football player. Academy-grown, didn’t cost a club a pound, and when you think about some of the fees that these players are going for.

“Obviously, they signed Santos and Tielemans for 85 [million] combined. Baleba was probably 70million. What would Kobbie be worth? It’s worth more than them all. No disrespect to any of them, but I just love his game.

“He’s a star. I think he’s gonna be a superstar. He’s only 21 years old, and he plays like he’s 30. That’s how he plays football in the most stressful environment – just chilled.

“I think there’s a potential to be one of the best midfield players in the world." 👏

Ollie Watkins' wife Ellie broke down in tears over her family's sudden move to Saudi Arabia on Sunday after the footballer was transferred to Al-Hilal🤝

The English striker, 30, completed a £51million move as he bid farewell to his beloved team Aston Villa after six years.

It has meant Ollie and his influencer wife have had to relocate and build a new life in Saudi with their two young children, Amara, five, and Marley, three.

Ellie, also 30, admitted her 'heart is hurting' as she spoke about the bittersweet move in an emotional TikTok video.

She said: 'Okay, well that wasn't on my bingo card for 2026.

'We are in Riyadh, we arrived in Saudi last night and I think I'm still in shock to be honest like how life can change so quickly but that is the joys of football.

'I've always actually said how lucky I think we are because we've been at Villa for six years which in football terms is actually quite a long time.

'We've had our children there, we've had quite big life events so it feels bittersweet to me. I loved my life there, I settled so well and made the most amazing friends.

Tearing up, she added: 'So I am feeling quite emotional about leaving that behind. But I am excited for a change of scenery, I think it's going to be amazing for the kids and I think they are going to have the best time ever.

'Once we are settled and we know what we are doing, it will all be good. Getting on with our new life in Saudi so exciting times.

'I'm also feeling a little nervous but I remember feeling like that when we moved to Birmingham so hopefully you can follow my journey in Saudi.'
