There is something special about returning to a place that helped shape your life.

This weekend, we watched alumni walk back into LEPTA, some after many many years. They came from different places, carrying different stories, but for a few hours they were together again.

There were old friends catching up, mentors reconnecting with former students, and conversations picking up where they had left off.

Seeing people return reminded us that while the sessions may end, the journey doesn’t. The lessons, the friendships and the sense of belonging continue years after graduation.

To everyone who came home this weekend, thank you for reminding us why this work matters.

Who will be different because you lived?

That was the question at the heart of our celebration as we marked 20 years of LEPTA.

Twenty years ago, LEPTA began with a simple belief: that when we invest in people, lives and communities can change.

Yesterday, we gathered to celebrate that journey.
We shared stories, honoured those who believed in us from the beginning, reflected on the lives that have been shaped along the way, and looked ahead with hope for what is still to come.

More than anything, we were reminded that LEPTA has never been about programmes or events. It has always been about people. The mentors who gave their time. The partners who stood with us. The alumni who continue to lead with courage and integrity. The friends who quietly kept believing in the vision.

To everyone who has walked this journey with us over the last twenty years, thank you. Your encouragement, generosity and friendship have become part of a story that continues to shape lives.

As one chapter closes, another begins.
