🚨 Imagine being blocked from returning to your own home by military barbed wire and shipping containers. For nearly 80,000 displaced civilians, this is their current reality.
Tensions are boiling over in Southeast Asia today as Cambodia formally accuses the Thai military of a deep territorial incursion. According to Cambodian officials, Thai troops have heavily barricaded roads, effectively trapping tens of thousands of displaced families and preventing them from going back.
The situation has gotten so severe that Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet is taking the crisis to the global stage—raising the issue directly with senior US officials and preparing for emergency talks in Geneva and Brussels.
Despite the military friction, Cambodia is pushing for a peaceful, diplomatic resolution backed by international law and ASEAN observers, calling for an immediate resumption of the Joint Border Commission.
