Small-group Korean conversation class in Songdo — first cohort now open 🙌

Hi everyone! If you can read Hangul but freeze up the second you actually have to say something in Korean, this class was built for exactly that gap.

Korean That Works — Scene 1: "아이스아메리카노 주세요"

Each month we take one real-life scene and practice it until it comes out without thinking. Scene 1 is food and dining:

· Ordering at a cafe · Asking what's in a dish (allergies) · Making a restaurant reservation · Ordering delivery over the phone

You'll spend most of the hour actually speaking — not filling in grammar worksheets.

Who it's for

You can read Hangul, you've studied some Korean, but conversations still don't flow. You know the words; they just don't come out in real time.

If you can't read Hangul yet, message me anyway — I'll point you toward a Hangul starter course first.

📍 Alpha Korean — 185 Incheon Tower-daero, Songdo Central Biz Halla, 20F #2012 　(Incheon National Univ. Stn. Exit 2 · 3 hours free parking)
👥 2–4 students — we start with just 2
⏰ 6 sessions, 60 minutes each
📅 Wed & Fri, 11:00–12:00
🗓 Sept 9, 11, 16, 18, 23, 30 (no class Sept 25 — Chuseok)
💬 Explanations in English, practice in Korean
💳 168,000 KRW — first-cohort rate (216,000 from the second cohort onward)

About your teacher

I'm Helena — MA in Korean Language Education from Ewha Womans University, about 10 years of teaching, and author of Organic Korean, the textbook this class is built on.

How to join

Every registration starts with a free level test. It takes a few minutes and makes sure the group is actually a good fit for you — nobody ends up in a class that's too fast or too slow.

Chris recently retired and spent 20 exhilarating days exploring Korea. She journeyed from Seoul to Busan and Incheon and had an absolute blast! Although she missed out on visiting Pohang, the filming location for 'Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha', due to transportation limitations. 🚗

This experience sparked an idea in me: what if your favorite Korean teacher—yep, that's me—could guide you on your personal travel journey through Korea while also teaching you Korean? Intriguing, isn't it? 🗺️🇰🇷 For reference, For reference, Chris paid around $50 per hour for her personal guide and managed to accomplish so much in just one day in Seoul, all without wasting time getting lost or consulting maps.
