Akletna Community Kitchen

Launched by Food Heritage Foundation and supported by Ardi Ardak, ''Akletna'' caters Traditional Lebanese Cuisine for events highlighting regional culinary specialties and provides daily lunch boxes to individuals. Akletna Community Kitchen is a network of regional community kitchens from Khiara, Kamed el Loz, Miniara, Tripoli, Bourj el Barajneh, Rachaya - producing traditional ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook from from local raw material. The short value chain of this system allows rural women to directly benefit from the sales of their production from one hand, and for consumers to trace back the origin of their food from another. The network established a central kitchen at Zico House - Spears, Sanayeh in Beirut to assemble, package and distribute around Beirut, as well as provide catering traditional meals for events highlighting regional culinary specialties and daily lunch boxes.
