Om namo narayanaya
The eight-syllable mantra of refuge, steadies the mind, invokes protection through faith. It is believed to bring inner peace, devotion, and spiritual upliftment.

The word ‘Narayana’ means “The one who rests on waters of creation”.

“The glorious Vishnu is the sole refuge of mortals. He is Infinite Light, Love and Wisdom. He resides in the hearts of all beings. His Grace is invincible. He is in all. He is the Highest Truth. He is Infinite Bliss. He is the Protector. He is the Preserver. He is the Saviour.”

Swami Sivananda Saraswati
“Serve, Love, Give, Purify, Meditate”

A doctor by profession and a spiritual teacher by nature, Swami Sivananda lived a life of compassion. His words were simple and his purpose was steady. He taught that the goal of life is to realise the Self and that this is reached through steady practice, a pure heart and selfless service. He inspired countless disciples who spread yoga throughout the world.

The Saraswati lineage comes from Adi Shankaracharya, the codifier of the Dashnami Sannyasa Tradition.
Adi Shankaracharya was born in the 8th Century AD. He is recognized to be the undisputed spiritual leader of India, and propagated the Advaita Vedanta philosophy which leads directly to the experience of higher yogic life.
