this is a digital painting i finished at the end of february. i've been waiting for a friend to post it, but he just told me i could go ahead and post it myself instead! i think i've already improved my workflow a lot since then and gotten really used to using a tablet.

it's a concept i've had for a while (10 years probably?) as a sort of vent piece around my mental health, so when he approached me to make some artwork to go with his music i felt like this idea really matched with his song floating platform glitch, which you can hear on this post. i felt like i has the skills to execute it, and i was right!

still pretty proud of this though.

and its done! this almost feels anticlimactic (so please show it some love) ive had this vision for 2 years and then it comes together perfectly in 2 weeks.

im hoping to put this up as a print on demand thing asap but im switching pod services and the one im moving to is a liittle less plug and play than the one i currently use. however they have metallic foil finishes which is hard to say no to especially for this.

AHHH. long time listeners will be aware that this is actually not the first iteration of this and that ive previously been working on this concept since 2024. and i hated it the whole time. the idea was solid, but it just did not look right. i kept getting okay feedback on it but i tried to work on it recently and it was so frustrating it ruined my whole day. so, based on some advice i saw someone give someone else and from my sister, i scrapped the original and restarted it, and ive been working on it pretty consistently for the past couple week and change, a far cry from the 2 years of hammering away at nothing. i am SOOO happy with this. ill be doing the lineart soon. and then.... watch this space ;)

helloooo. next week friday i'll be launching preorders for some embroidered patches! i'm starting with these 6 designs.

preorders will be open for 2 months or until we hit the threshold to fund them. if they're not funded after 2 months everyone who orders will be refunded and they'll be cancelled. if any design underperforms a lot, it'll be cancelled as well, but i'll be using the funds from all of them to fund all of them so it's fine if one lags behind a little.

note: these won't be iron on patches! they won't have a backing at all, so you can sew them on yourself without struggling with a thick backing.
