IRCC wrapped up another active week with four Express Entry draws, issuing a total of 7,515 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) across multiple categories.

Here’s this week’s breakdown:

📅 July 21, 2026 | Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
✅ ITAs Issued: 2,000
🎯 CRS Cut-off: 516

📅 July 22, 2026 | French-Language Proficiency (Version 2)
✅ ITAs Issued: 5,000

📅 July 23, 2026 | Skilled Military Recruits (Version 1)

📊 Express Entry Pool Update — High-CRS Competition Eases

Between June 21 and July 19, 2026, Canada’s Express Entry pool declined by 5,668 profiles, while the 501–600 CRS range dropped by 1,879 candidates, from 20,012 to 18,133.

The 491–500 range also declined by 657 candidates, falling from 13,537 to 12,880.

After months of growth at the higher end of the pool, these numbers show some easing in competition — but with 18,133 candidates still sitting between CRS 501–600, competition remains significant.

This week also highlights the importance of category-based selection, with 5,000 French-language candidates receiving ITAs at a CRS cut-off of just 399, compared with 516 for CEC.

If you’re waiting for an ITA, focus on improving your CRS score, strengthening your French-language ability where possible, and exploring Provincial Nominee Programs and category-based opportunities.

📊 Express Entry Pool Update — Competition Continues to Grow

Between May 24 and June 21, 2026, Canada's Express Entry pool expanded by 3,666 profiles. The 501–600 CRS score range alone grew by 2,067 candidates, representing approximately 56% of all new profiles.

While the growth was less concentrated than the previous month, the majority of new candidates are still entering the pool with highly competitive CRS scores.

If you're waiting for an ITA, now is the time to focus on maximizing your CRS score, exploring category-based draws, and considering Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) where applicable.
