We had the honour of welcoming and serving a Moroccan feast to H.E. Ambassador Mohamed Maliki and Mr. Amine El Abyad El Idrissi. It was also a pleasure to share the richness of Moroccan cuisine with Mr. Redha Refai.

At Mohim, we welcome guests from across the street and around the world. This evening was a meaningful reminder of why we do what we do. Sharing authentic Maghrebi flavors with the people of Sri Lanka is both our passion and our greatest reward.

We are sincerely grateful for this memorable occasion and for the celebration of Moroccan hospitality, culture and cuisine around one table. 🇲🇦✨

We’re truly grateful for the wonderful start to Ramadan at Mohim. This is our second year celebrating this holy month with you, and the response has been even more heartwarming than last year. As we fast and reflect together, we’re committed to continuously improving our offerings and deepening our service to you. We hope the good deeds and connections we build this month will carry forward long after Ramadan ends. Thank you for your continued support and trust. May we all be blessed.

It was Sunday night, and we were exhausted but happy to enjoy our Monday off. It had only been a month since we started serving at Mohim, and we already found ourselves dealing with a ton of problems — a classic in the restaurant business.

Midweek, we had hosted a french gathering and we barely had time to recover. But just as we turned off the lights, we got a call from H., a customer we had served earlier that week, who wanted to book the entire restaurant to celebrate his grandfather’s birthday on our day off.

Despite having no energy left at that time, refusing was out of the question. After just a few hours of sleep, we got back to the kitchen to prepare for the evening event. To make things even more challenging, not only was our staff unavailable, but we also realized that the inverter wasn’t charged. So we ended up finishing the preparations by candlelight —attack of the apes and notorious power cuts at that time.

Our young brothers and sisters reading us must understand that you can achieve many things, you can change the course of time and challenge social determination with your simple will (and a bit of luck as well…).

By the end of the service, from a quiet corner of the room, we watched the faces of satisfied guests, the smiles of a united family teasing each other over mint tea. So many moments of joy that wiped away all the fatigue of the past month.
