The Light of Asia Finals and Award Ceremony 2026 was successfully held on 27 September 2026 at the Colombo YMBA Main Hall, marking another significant milestone in the long-standing legacy of the Light of Asia Competition.
The occasion was graced by Mr. Vijaya Kumar Raut, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Nepal, as the Chief Guest.
Following the celebration of the 100-year legacy of The Light of Asia last year, Colombo YMBA took a significant step forward this year by giving the competition an international dimension for the first time, welcoming contestants from Nepal to participate in the Light of Asia Competition.
We extend our warmest congratulations to Ms. Sandithmee Sooriyabandara of Royal International School, Kurunegala, on being crowned the Overall Winner of the Light of Asia Competition 2026.
