The brand is a culmination of different personas an edgy hipster, an ethnic rebel and a modern day goddess all combined into one. The brand is intended to make you feel like the woman you are a independent, beautiful and liberated woman. The Fabrics used are made through sustainable and ethical practices. The brand is an outcome of a successful collaboration with local Sri Lankan artisans who produce hand made clothes that are striking and unique. The clothes are designed to be practical and comfortable to wear while still instilling a feeling of wonder and empowerment in you. The brand is conscious of the social and environmental injustices that occur everyday. That is why we believe in giving fair wages and with doing business with those who do the same. We allow talented artisan with creative skills to be able to do what they love, follow their dreams and still be able to support themselves. We are a slow fashion label because when your slow you are able to be more mindful of everything else around you. A celebration of hand embroidery, wearable art, and conscious craft , created in collaboration with artisans preserving generations of textile storytelling.
For curators, stylists, collectors, and concept stores seeking meaningful craftsmanship and narrative-led design.

Following the recognition of the Craft Futures Award, we are grateful to continue celebrating handcraft, storytelling, sustainability, and contemporary South Asian design on a global platform.
From Colombo to London, Studio Dimitra brings together intricate hand embroidery, conscious craftsmanship, and textile narratives inspired by emotion, memory, culture, and everyday life.
