Proud to present my latest short film, The Shadow of Tartary.

This experimental historical essay film follows a modern scholar who discovers an ancient atlas and encounters a forgotten name that once stretched across vast regions of the world: Tartary.

As he journeys through shifting landscapes of memory, cartography, and history, the boundaries between fact, interpretation, and myth begin to blur. Through silent imagery and atmospheric storytelling, the film explores how civilizations are remembered, how narratives are shaped, and how entire worlds can gradually disappear from collective memory.

Rather than offering answers, The Shadow of Tartary invites viewers to reflect on the nature of history itself and to consider what remains hidden beneath the maps we inherit.
