The Editorial Board of VORTEX Volume V invites undergraduate students to participate in the 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫-𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐄𝐂𝐇 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 under the theme “Beyond Barriers, Towards Equality.”

The competition aims to encourage students to share insightful perspectives on equality, inclusivity, and social justice through an meaningful oral expression.

We look forward to receiving perspectives that inspire meaningful dialogue and reflect the spirit of this year’s theme.

VORTEX Volume V: Inter-University Article Writing Competition 2026

The Editorial Board of VORTEX Volume V invites undergraduate students to participate in the Inter-University Article Writing Competition 2026 under the theme “Beyond Barriers, Towards Equality.”

The competition aims to encourage students to share insightful perspectives on equality, inclusivity, and social justice through meaningful written expression.

The winning articles will be published in VORTEX Volume V, allowing participants to showcase their ideas in this prestigious publication.

The Equality Initiative of Sri Lanka Law College had the privilege of meeting with Mr. Mahela Jayawardena, former Captain of the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team and one of the nation’s most celebrated sporting icons, for an exclusive interview for the VORTEX'26.

The discussion explored the themes of equality, diversity, and inclusion through the lens of sport, highlighting the role of leadership, teamwork, and equal opportunity in fostering more inclusive communities.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Mr. Jayawardena for generously sharing his valuable insights and experiences. His contribution will undoubtedly enrich VORTEX 2026, and we look forward to sharing this inspiring conversation with our readers.

This is to inform that the General Meeting of The Equality Initiative - 2026 will be held on 16th July 2026 at 3.30 p.m. at Sri Lanka Law College.
