On July 3rd, we spent the day at the MJF Centre with 35 incredible women and girls from the Weligama community, in partnership with Selyn Foundation's program. Together, we opened up honest conversations about menstrual health — the science behind it, the myths that still hold women back, and sustainable choices that are better for both our bodies and the planet.

As part of the day, Cape Weligama sponsored 10 reusable sanitary napkin kits, helping these women take a step toward more sustainable, dignified period care.

This isn't new for us. We've already run this same workshop for our own staff, and we provide free period products to both our guests and team members. Now, we're proud to carry that same commitment beyond our walls and into the community that surrounds us.

Menstrual health shouldn't be a taboo — it should be a conversation everyone has access to.
