Every morning, Maya stopped at the same little coffee shop on her way to work.

And every morning, the same boy sat by the window, reading a book.

They never spoke.

But somehow, they noticed each other.

She noticed that he always ordered hot chocolate, even though he looked like a serious coffee person.

He noticed that she always smiled at the old lady behind the counter.

One rainy Tuesday, Maya rushed into the cafe without an umbrella, completely soaked.

The boy looked up from his book and quietly pushed a napkin box toward her.

“You look like you fought the rain,” he said.

Maya laughed. “The rain won.”

That was their first conversation.

The next morning, there were two hot chocolates waiting at the table.

“One for you,” he said, smiling. “You look like you need it.”

And slowly, their mornings became *their* mornings.

They talked about books, music, dreams, silly childhood memories, and absolutely nothing.

Months passed.

Then one morning, Maya walked into the cafe and found the table empty.

Instead, there was a tiny note beside a cup of hot chocolate.

*“I finally finished my book. Want to help me start a new story?”*

She turned around.

He was standing by the door, holding two umbrellas.

Maya smiled.

“Only if I get to choose the first chapter.”

He held out an umbrella to her.

“Deal.”

And as they stepped into the rain together, neither of them cared that they were getting wet.

Because sometimes love doesn't arrive with fireworks.
