Captain’s Log, September 8, 1966.

Sixty years ago, a journey began that still hasn’t ended.

The USS Enterprise, under the command of Captain Kirk, set out to explore strange new worlds, seek out new life and new civilizations, and boldly go where no one had gone before.

What began as a science-fiction series became a vision of our future. Kirk, Picard, Sisko, Janeway, Archer, Pike and their crews — generation after generation followed, new worlds were discovered, and the journey continued.

Because Star Trek was never just a story about space. It was a story about us: choosing discovery over fear, understanding over prejudice, and believing that tomorrow can be better than today.

Sixty years. Countless worlds. One mission.
And the journey continues.

To all the stars still waiting to be explored.

Grandmasters of Rock Part 8 - 80s and 90s🎸

📏Nine Inch Nails defined industrial rock with a dark mix of distorted guitars, electronic sounds and atmospheric production. The Downward Spiral and Closer became defining works of the 1990s.

🤬Rage Against the Machine fused heavy metal riffs, hip-hop and politically charged lyrics into a sound unlike anyone else. Tom Morello’s experimental guitar effects became a signature of hits like Killing in the Name.

😎Mötley Crüe became icons of the 1980s Sunset Strip with glam-metal, wild stage shows and an infamous rock ’n’ roll lifestyle. Dr. Feelgood and Kickstart My Heart remain hard-rock classics.

⛓️Alice in Chains
Alice in Chains brought an exceptionally dark, metal-influenced sound to the Seattle scene. Layne Staley and Jerry Cantrell’s haunting vocal harmonies became their unmistakable trademark.

🎃The Smashing Pumpkins mixed huge guitar walls with psychedelia, dreamy melodies and alternative rock. Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness produced classics like 1979 and Bullet with Butterfly Wings.

🎸Jane's Addiction blended hard rock, psychedelia and art-rock with Perry Farrell’s theatrical presence. Nothing’s Shocking helped lay the foundation for the alternative-rock explosion of the 1990s.

🪨Stone Temple Pilots
Stone Temple Pilots combined grunge with hard rock, psychedelic influences and melodic songwriting. Their debut Core and Plush made them one of the biggest alternative-rock bands of the 1990s.

🌀The Cult evolved from post-punk and gothic rock into a powerful blend of hard rock and psychedelia. She Sells Sanctuary became one of the defining rock songs of the 1980s.

🐍Whitesnake combined blues-based hard rock with the huge arena sound of the 1980s, driven by David Coverdale’s powerful voice. Here I Go Again became their signature worldwide hit.

🕳️Soundgarden fused heavy metal with dark alternative rock and helped define the Seattle grunge sound. Chris Cornell’s extraordinary voice gave songs like Black Hole Sun their unmistakable character.

So, here is my take on the challenge for my friend, the super sweet Sandy Batista ; these are her OCs. At first, I thought about putting the girls in Sailor Moon cosplays, but honestly, I didn't feel like dealing with comments asking, "Where's Amy? Where's Pluto? Why do the girls look so different?" or things like "Sailor Jupiter is missing 😭."
So, I decided to turn the girls into rockers instead, and I think it looks totally cool 🤘🤘🤘
