Colombo Night Run is an open running community in Colombo, Sri Lanka that meets every Thursday night. near D.S.
Colombo Night Run is an open, non-profit running community that meets on regular basis for running during night time within the vibrant city of Colombo. Colombo Night Run group gathers every Thursday evening at 7.15 p.m. Senanayake Statue at Independence Square in Colombo with aim of below activities -
Fun Run /Jog - Set routes of 3km / 5km / 7km and beyond
Walk - For those wish to slow down
Speed sessions on certain dates
In addition we take part together for major running events in Colombo such as Colombo Marathon (day or night). We are not just a running group, rather a group of friends with similar interests. We respect and motivate each other and keep the spirit of running high. Not to forget that we meet-up for a juice after the session. We are non-profit, which means you will never need to pay to take part in our runs. You are welcome to join us for a run and keep running!
* If you are below age of 18, you need to be accompanied by a guardian to join us.
* We do not provide any fitness, health or nutrition advice or training, if you wish to, please consult a specialist.
* We are very much focused on safety but your safety is in your hands, be responsible for yourself.
* You run at your own pace for the distance you like. We do not have any rules or regulations.
* We are a running family with running intentions only, so respect each other with decent behavior.

What a way to kick off the inaugural Colombo Marathon! πββοΈπββοΈπ±π°
Our runners came out in the hundreds across all event categories, making it a truly special day for our running community! β€οΈ
And what a fun way to experience the day, a tour on top of the double-decker party bus, with Papare music playing! πΆπ Thereβs something pretty amazing about passing a finish line from upstairs! ππ
A special shout-out to everyone who took on the full 42.2K marathon distance what an achievement! πͺπ₯
Congratulations to all our finishers, and a huge congratulations to Gina α΅Μ Gina for finishing 7th in the 10K! ππ Superb running!

Special shout to AurΓ©lie Monnier for an incredible performance at the Nestomalt Nestomalt Jaffna Half Marathon! πββοΈπ₯
AurΓ©lie finished an amazing sub-2 hour half marathon in 7th place after cycling a massive 480km from Colombo to Jaffna! π΄ββοΈ
She took on the journey via Puttalam, Anuradhapura and Mannar, arriving in Jaffna and then lining up for the half marathon. Talk about commitment! πͺ

CNR/CCR made it to Jaffna! β€οΈπββοΈπββοΈ
The Nestamolt Nestomalt Jaffna Half Marathon, the largest running event in Jaffna to date, took CCR and CNR all the way to the North!
Our runners made their way through the beautiful landscapes of Jaffna, running alongside the ocean and soaking in the incredible atmosphere. πβοΈ
It was definitely not an easy one. Hot, windy and challenging, but our runners did an amazing job!

Justice Run 2026 πββοΈπββοΈ
Great morning of running today with hundreds taking on the 5K. CCR/CNR runners dominated the podium and the top 200 finishers also took home medals.
