Daddy

Daddy was a pet project started by 5 young individuals who were extremely passionate about music and managed to turn it into their day job. In May 2007 they released their Debut single “Mage Massina” which made its way into the ears of Music lovers all over the island, paving the way for their Debut Album which was Titled “Massina” which was released in December 2007. After gaining considerable recognition in the Sri Lankan Music industry they performed at various events throughout the country whilst working on their 2nd album. The much anticipated follow-up album “Arabiya” was launched in December 2010 and a video for the title track ‘Arabiya’ was released in June. A few years down the line they have had a few changes in the line up but have retained and built on the core of what Daddy was about from its inception. They went on to produce a concert series called “Aaley” which garnered critical acclaim from veteran musicians and fans alike and are currently in the process of recording and releasing their third studio album and the tour alongside it!
