Joseph K. Vallai Resigns as Deputy Presidential Press Secretary

Deputy Presidential Press Secretary Joseph K. Vallai has resigned from his position at the Executive Mansion.

Speaking yesterday during the Executive Mansion’s regular weekend press briefing, Presidential Press Secretary Atty. Kula Fofana confirmed Vallai’s resignation, describing it as a personal decision.

According to Atty. Fofana, Vallai voluntarily resigned several weeks ago and subsequently submitted a resignation letter, which was received by President Joseph Nyuma Boakai.

Meanwhile, speaking to our Executive Mansion reporter Joeraisee I. P. Joe, Vallai confirmed his resignation but declined to disclose specific details surrounding his departure.

Vallai, however, clarified that his resignation has nothing to do with the ongoing drug-related controversy, distancing himself from any allegations of wrongdoing.

He called on the public to refrain from associating his name with any form of criminal activity, stressing that he remains willing to subject himself to public scrutiny based on his more than ten years of public service to Liberia and other organizations.

Joseph K. Vallai was appointed Deputy Presidential Press Secretary by President Joseph Nyuma Boakai on April 26, 2024, and served at the Executive Mansion until his recent resignation.
