Your online store can be fast and beautiful, yet still be impossible for some customers to use.
That is the problem the European Accessibility Act aims to solve.
The Act was introduced to reduce barriers for people with disabilities and replace fragmented national rules with a more consistent framework across the EU. Older people also benefit from the same accessibility improvements.
For e-commerce, this means making key journeys easier to perceive, understand, navigate and complete.
In UX practice, that includes readable text, sufficient contrast, keyboard navigation, screen-reader-friendly labels, clear forms and accessible checkout flows.
The rules apply to many, but not all, e-commerce businesses. For example, microenterprises providing services are generally exempt.
Build accessibility into your e-commerce experience from day one with Nordcode.

AI cannot replace touching, trying or inspecting a product in person.
But it can make online buying feel much less uncertain.
DHL surveyed 24,000 online shoppers across 24 markets and found that 7 in 10 want retailers to offer AI-powered shopping features. Virtual try-ons, AI shopping assistants and voice-enabled product search are among the most wanted tools.
For e-commerce brands, the lesson is to use virtual try-on or AR when shoppers struggle to visualise a product. Use shopping assistants when the range feels overwhelming. Use automatic reordering when convenience drives repeat purchases.
The best AI feature is the one that removes doubt and moves the customer closer to buying.

Adobe found that 39% of surveyed consumers use AI for online shopping.
As AI-driven discovery becomes more common, product data quality matters more.
Clear attributes, consistent structure, relevant descriptions, and well-organised categories all help AI understand what to surface, where, and to whom.
If that foundation is weak, the result is usually the same:
less relevant recommendations,
poorer search results,
and a product discovery experience that feels less helpful than it should.
In other words, better AI does not start with adding more intelligence on top.
It starts with better product data underneath.
Let’s build e-commerce systems that are ready for smarter discovery.

At minimum, make sure you can export:
🔎 product data
🔎 product images
🔎 customer lists
👉 CSV is a good place to start.
Data portability gives you more control when you need to migrate, integrate new tools, or change platforms.
The longer you wait to check this, the more painful it usually gets.
A flexible e-commerce setup should support growth. Not trap your data inside it.
Are you ready to build systems that stay under your control? 🤝

A good product personalisation in e-commerce is not about being invasive.
It is about being useful. 🤝
That can mean showing better recommendations, improving search results, sorting products more intelligently, or surfacing the right suggestion at the right moment.
👉 The goal is to make product discovery feel smoother and more relevant for the customer.
When product personalisation makes sense, it helps people find what they need faster and creates a shopping experience that feels smarter, not pushier.
Let’s build personalised e-commerce experiences that make customers' lives easier!

Meta is already talking about Christmas.
For e-commerce businesses, that is a useful reminder:
peak season preparation starts much earlier.
From a systems perspective, the key questions are simple:
Can your store handle peak traffic?
Can checkout stay fast?
Can stock, payments, and integrations keep up?
Because when order volumes grow, weak points show up fast.
Nordcode helps e-commerce businesses build connected systems that are ready for peak-season pressure.
Get ready before Q4 gets expensive.

Your B2B buyers are still active after 5 PM.
For B2B e-commerce, this matters. If buyers are becoming more flexible in how they research, the buying experience needs to support that too.
They need easy access to:
• product information
• account-based pricing
• real-time stock
• order history
• repeat ordering
B2B buying is becoming more self-directed.
At Nordcode, we help businesses build infrastructure for easier B2B sales, self-service buying, and scalable e-commerce operations.

The problem is not the vacation. It is the system behind the process.
That’s why it is important to prepare your operations before your team is not at full capacity:
· Automate what should not be manual.
· Connect what should not be separate.
· Fix what should not depend on one person.
At Nordcode, we help businesses build stable and connected e-commerce infrastructure that keeps operations running.
Even when the team is not at full capacity.

System efficiency over expansion – the future of E-commerce in Europe.
Growth is still happening, but the bigger shift is happening behind the scenes: retail, logistics, and fulfilment are becoming more connected.
Stores are increasingly taking on a fulfilment role. That means e-commerce systems need to support more than just online transactions.
They need to handle:
• inventory visibility
• order routing
• fulfilment logic
• returns
• connected store and warehouse operations
As the market moves from rapid expansion to optimisation, strong infrastructure becomes a competitive advantage.
At Nordcode, we help businesses build connected e-commerce infrastructure that supports omnichannel operations, system integration, scale, and what comes next.

One feature can do more than it seems.
For Mēness aptieka, we implemented personalised product recommendations to make product discovery more relevant and the shopping journey more useful.
Why does that matter?
Better recommendations can help customers find what they need faster, support cross-sell, and increase basket value without adding more complexity to the experience.
In the Mēness Aptieka project, the results over 7 months were:
• +5% average order value
• +23% orders
• +29% revenue
Features like this may look simple on the surface, but they can have a real impact on how customers browse, discover, and buy. It contributes to:
→ Better visibility for the right products.
→ More personalised journeys.
→ Stronger e-commerce performance.
