On June 25, Touchpoints Asbl held its final Business MeetUps event featuring fashion designer and entrepreneur, Elena Gromova, founder, FBL - Fashion Business Lab at Chiche! Restaurant, attracting around 30 entrepreneurs.

Attendees benefited from Gromova's insights on building a fashion brand, No.Rainer, in Luxembourg and Marianne Donven's story of Chiche!'s growth and employee co-ownership model. The event, documented by artists, Tetanya Popyk of Tanitaphotography and Vargha Sobhan of Naderi photography & video, highlighted the vibrant cultural diversity of Luxembourg’s business community.

Touchpoints Asbl, concluding its activities on June 30, 2024, is excited to announce that Lëtz Art ASBL will continue the Business MeetUp Events with the "TRICOT" project starting September 2024.

Faire du business et lutter contre la pauvreté en même temps ? Voici comment ça peut marcher :

Pascale Zaourou nous a présenté son entreprise Voix Solidaires Sàrl-S SIS à l'occasion d'un au Alazeel Grill (Avenue de la Liberté).

Lorsqu'en 2020 Pascale approche des fondations pour créer un guide avec des astuces pour économiser au Luxembourg, la réponse était : La pauvreté au Luxembourg ? Ça n'existe pas ici. Aujourd'hui, après avoir vendu plus de 1 000 exemplaires, il s'avère que la pauvreté existe bel et bien. Elle n'est juste pas aussi visible.

Pascale a auto-publié la 1ère édition de son livre avec beaucoup de temps investit de manière bénévole. La 2ème édition du guide "Le Luxembourg pas cher", qui sortira cette année, sera distribuée par sa société Voix Solidaires Sàrl-S, en plus d'ateliers pour les organisations et les institutions travaillant avec des personnes en situation de précarité.

Pour cela, elle a demandé un agrément "SIS"(Société d'Impact Sociétal) auprès du Ministère du Travail Luxembourg. Comme son entreprise ré-investit 100 % des bénéfices dans la mission d'impact, l'entreprise ne paie pratiquement pas d'impôts. Sous cette forme, les associé(e)s ne peuvent pas se verser de dividendes, mais cela permet de créer son propre emploi voire des emplois supplémentaires.

📈 Par la suite, Cesare Riillo, Chercheur Senior au STATEC Research, présentera les dernières conclusions du rapport du Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) Luxembourg, mettant en évidence une croissance de l'intérêt pour l'entrepreneuriat au Grand-Duché, contrastée par une diminution du passage à l'acte entrepreneurial.

🗨 Pour approfondir cette réflexion, une table ronde réunira Stéphanie Damgé, Directrice de la House of Entrepreneurship Luxembourg et Fabienne Colling, Directrice de Touchpoints afin de débattre de la possibilité pour chacun de se lancer dans l'entrepreneuriat et des conditions nécessaires pour y parvenir.

Eulecia MG (EMG Coaching), Kay (CT For You) et Sobhan (Naderi photography & video), 3 entrepreneurs passionnés partageront leurs témoignages, reflétant la diversité des parcours et des expériences dans l'entrepreneuriat.

Originaire de Syrie, Marwan a travaillé plusieurs années comme coiffeur indépendant dans son pays d'origine, puis deux ans en tant que coiffeur pour l'armée luxembourgeoise. Après de grands défis, il a enfin pu réaliser son rêve de créer son propre salon au Luxembourg 💪

We are excited to share some photos from our workshop, Take The Lead. It had an nteresting mix of participants to gain problem-based practical solutions and digital tools for job search and small project promotion in Luxembourg. Lots of insightful contributions were received. Indeed, the learning went in both directions.
