MAKE RĪGA Hackerspace

MAKE RĪGA is a community of enthusiasts who have created a place, which hardware enthusiasts may call home. Unlike other co-working or start-up oriented places in Riga, we are focusing solely on hardware, may it be anything, ranging from your next great electronics product to the mechanical wooden excavator you have been thinking of building just to fool around on weekends. We strive to create an environment which facilitates the creation of anything tangible. Our initial set-up includes: A 100w laser cutter, two FDM 3d printers, basic electronics equipment, hand tools & some power tools. We hope to bring you a SLA 3d printer, metal CNC mill, a metal lathe and other cool equipment in early 2015. As we aim for sustainability, we have created various membership levels to fulfil the requirements of anyone- from the rarely visiting technical sciences student or hobbyist to the next big thing hardware start-up residents. Our facilities are located in the Institute of Electronics & Computer Science in the district of Teika, with free parking on premises and closely situated public transportation infrastructure.
