At Kuwait Airport's new support terminals, the goal wasn't simply to automate lighting but to make lighting part of a connected building ecosystem.

Using LogicMachine as the central integration platform, the project connects a KNX lighting installation to the Honeywell EBI Building Management System via BACnet, providing operators with a single environment to monitor and manage terminal lighting.

The solution delivers:

The latest Visu app beta introduces more flexibility for advanced customization.

✨ Highlight:
Local apps used in frame can now be modified with JavaScript.
This allows developers to customize local app appearance and behavior dynamically — for example by changing styles or injecting custom modifications when the widget is ready.

🔐 Secure building automation starts with the right configuration.

• Avoid port forwarding — use OpenVPN, WireGuard, ZeroTier or LM Cloud for remote access
• Disable unnecessary services when they are not required
• Turn off KNX/IP features if they are no longer needed after commissioning
• Use HTTPS where possible
• If FTP is used, protect it with SSL/TLS
• For communication between multiple LogicMachine controllers, use secure KNX/IP routing with a Backbone key

🔐 Secure communication between multiple LogicMachine controllers.

With MQTT and encrypted connections, LogicMachine controllers can exchange object values between different buildings, local networks, or subnets — while keeping communication protected and controlled.

One LogicMachine can act as the MQTT broker, while other LogicMachine controllers connect as MQTT clients. Access rights, users, topics, and encrypted communication can be configured to ensure that only selected data is exchanged between systems.
